The Combine

I think that the Combine are humans BUT they are being controlled by alien host organisms like that might be why in the trainstation bink they take you that room with blood on the ground. The Combine has red blood so it got me thinking if they were just humans infected with a parasite ( not like a headcrab though) I'm just throwing some ideas out there......

The Combine have officialy been said to be aliens. Their troops are another matter. The cops and soldiers appear to be human.

Officially where? Why would Barney be wearing a Combine outfit? To fit in so he doesnt feel left out?

Officially on the HL2 website and officially when one of the VALVe guys referred to the "Alien Combine" during one of the video presentations.

And Barney is probably wearing the uniform because it's light ballistic armour.
