I dont know about you lot, but I think probably one of the best parts of BF2, is being the gunner in a helicopter gunship and using the guided missile to take out the enemy. Its so satisfying to guide the missile into a fully laden APC, and watch the flight of the missile on the camera; its also amazingly powerful.
I was on a server the other day as a gunner with a good pilot, and we were just destroying so many tanks.
Planting c4 as a spec ops on vehicles is also cool, but I think the camera missiles are one of the best new additions.

Being gunner is fun when you have a good pilot. Lately I've been having trouble finding good pilots. I'm trying to get the helicopter service ribbon but I always fall short of the 20 kills per round because pilots keep crashing or can't keep the helo steady.

When I'm piloting a helicopter gunship I usually don't attack enemies myself so much but instead I hover so the gunner can take care of the ground troops/vehicles.
The gunner is much more dangerous than the pilot.

Exactly. When I fly it's all about the gunner.

I just played a round where I fell short of the Staff Officer Ribbon and the Helicopter Service Ribbon by 1 kill...damn that sucked.

Other than those 2 ribbons I have no idea how to get anything else beyond what I have (besides purple heart).

Jumping out of a helicopter, then have a jet/helicopter (forgot) run into me, it happens to blow up and I survive. That also counts as team killing

You need 50 command points. One more arty kill and I would've had it.

the tv missile is fun, but i always have a hard time guiding it. i think ive only hit 3-4 tanks with it. one time i actually hit another helicopter out of the air, it was very satisfying.

I once managed to drop a bomb on a fully loaded transport helo that was in the air.

I jumped, threw C4 on a swooping by helo on attack runs, and bombed it out of the sky...they had no idea. They just flew around..I waited till they got really high, blew it up.
I''m sure they were like "WE ARE THIS FAR UP?! HOW WE GET C4eded!"

LOL! I usually just plant the C4 on the helicopter and wait for it to take off...then...I usually die before I can detonate it...

Anyways, I own using TV missiles. Every helicopter co-pilot must know how to effectively use TV missiles. The cannon is next to useless on tanks...

Well the pilot still has a lot of missles.

But anyway, those dammed black hawks, are wonderfully ****ing stable, if I go like above an enemy base, and jump out, and use parashute at the last moment, they don't see me, but the helo keeps flying and they keep shooting, so funny.

Oh yeah and the laser missle on the bomber, how good is that, and it is a laser missli right, you just point your target and it will go there or can you control that to.

The laser missile is so hard to control as you often get a pilot that just zig zags and loop the loops...

It is quite hard to control, but the explosion is really big and powerful; i often use it on lone troops if i cant see any vehicles, ive hit other helicopters mid-air about 3 times before.

so you have to controll it, I thought it wqs you point out a target and you fire and thats it, I though the guided ones where the tv missles in the helo.
