The daddy of MP3 Players

I've heard reviews on this player and they have said they would pick this player over an Ipod.
I have not used one myself so I cannot say much about it.
I will say this is about the only player that probably can give competition to the Ipod for most users. I think the Ipod still gives the best ease of use and function with their music. How does this player compare?

Ipod is rumored to produce a 60GB Ipod in the future using Toshiba's drive. Massive.
I have had several truck drivers stop in to get their 2nd 40GB Ipod. I think thats funny but I guess they do nothing but listen to music to keep themselves entertained.

I would pick an ipod for the simple fact its smaller and that thing looks like some shit that woulda fell out of The Terminators ass

Haha. Yeah, it is very simple. I like the touch interface myself. No other player, I've used, allows you to scroll to the bottom of 10,000 songs so quickly.

I don't think that looks like a bad player at all though. Nothing from the Terminators ass anyway. Ha
I do like the remote with the LCD. Handy if you put the player out of sight.

I'm planning on buying the IHP 120. It's going for 412€ at this finnish site.

The iPod has a 40 gig hard-drive, depending on what model you buy. :O

I haven't even got 10 gig of music :p I just want a good mp3 hd player.

2 of my friends own seperate MP3 players. If friend one has 3 apples... heh.
Actually one has an Ipod and the other has one of these IRiver things. About 6 months after the Ipod owner got his Ipod, the rechargable, nonreplaceable battery died. So he called apple. Costs 250 to replace the battery.

The IRiver owner is quite happy with his investment. Had some problems setting up the software but I got him through it. Not a problem yet.

Your call.

I have an iRiver mp3 player, not that model, mine plays cds instead. I liked the idea of mp3 cds a while ago, but now with all these 20-40gb mp3 players im kinda kicking my self. Having 17 cds of mp3s (10.6gb) kinda sucks, but I love the mp3 player, the screen glows, you can customize almost everything on the screen. iRiver is my choice over all

HP recently began a partnership with apple to produce ipods wuith the HP logo. Micro$oft is promising to unveil a mp3 player that is comparable to the ipod for around $50 US; I'll believe it when I see it

I suggest you look at the MuvoTX 512, not alot of storage but it's cheap + has some neat features...

That battery shit is a overblown myth, Ive had mine and used it every single day since August and the battery is damn near as good as its always been, I still get at LEAST 6 hours playing time on it.

If all ipods suffer from this, why is mine the exception? I think these people have been overcharging their batter for 6 months, leaving it on the charger all night. Soon as mine says charged I take it off because it holds a full power charge a good day or two.

And if your overcharging it, then your gonna have that problem with whatever player you buy...its not like apple is the ONLYYY company that uses lithium-ion batteries :naughty:

And by the way, im a PC guy!

The HP ipods arent gonna be called ipods, their just gonna be made by them. Their gonna be based on the 3rd generation ipod and wont come out until the 4th generation ipod drops. So youll basically be buying a 3rd generation ipod...the advantage...uhh...shit idk.

And yea, as far as Micro$soft, lol, ill believe it when i see it also.
