I love Doctor Who. Especially now that it's being re-run on ABC in Australia.

To all Who-maniacs out there: Join in and share the fun!

My favourite Doctor: The fourth, for being so bohemian and clownish. The seventh comes close behind.

My favourite enemy: The Daleks, because they're so delightfully evil, amusingly rediculous, wonderfully designed, pretentiously windy, and they have the most fun voices to imitate.

Favourite episode: Image of the Fendahl (the fendahleen were so creepy) or, failing that, Remembrance of the Daleks.

Favourite planet/place: Probably either Skaro or Chloris.

If you like the Doctor, please add yours.

Seeya.

heh poor Dr Who.. you know the BBC decided to ressurrect that show with a new Doctor because of Blake's 7 don't you ;)

Didn't I read somewhere that some of the possible new doctors would either be Richard E. Grant, Eddie Izzard and Alan Davis.. possibly someone else but well.. Eddie is a great comedian, I just don't think his "style" would quite work for the Doctor, and Alan Davis is well.. he'd just be a Tom Baker clone. Grant could possibly pull it off though, but the show would have to be done in a much better style

Edit: oh and Chloris looks a lot like Clitoris for some reason lol damn my failing eye sight

I thought Steven Speilberg tried to do that in America... y'know, with the eighth Doctor. Would've worked, too, if he'd used the Daleks in the pilot episode, instead of the Master. Did you see the guy who was playing him? Hah! Everyone knows the Master has a goatee!

A new BBC doctor who would be cool, though, if they could do it right. Daleks in the first episode, gotta be. ;)

Fenric, you win the "Dirty Mind" award yet again. :E

A new doctor who series would not be cool... atleast i can't see them being able to make it cool, I don't think the old doctor who fans would like it if it was the same as the old series or different. I just don't see how it would work.

Doctor Who rocks! any kind of attempt of a new series is welcome by me! Be good to hear the theme tune again.....if they change the theme tune then they die!

The theme tune change for the x-men movies ruined it for me! it has to be the same tune dammit!

those amblin dalek concepts were cool, I liked those, instead the only Who film that got made ended up with the worst possible Dalek voices ever heard, right at the very start (yes those are -supposed- to be daleks LOL)

you better buy me a new mantle piece then, I've run out of space :P

but darlecs arn't really evil, at least they dont feel evil.

best enemy was in terminator 2, the actor in that looked really evil.

Heck yes, the Daleks were evil. And they remained evil even after splitting into the Imperial (White/Gold) and renegade (Grey/Black) factions.

Not all were evil, though. The Daleks once captured the Doctor and forced him to add to the Dalek genetic makeup what the Daleks called "The Human Factor". The original Daleks lacked the qualities of Inspiration and Imagination, and this was holding them back from winning in a war against a race of robots called the Movellans.

The new Daleks had the desired qualities all right. However, they had also picked up the attendant qualities of Curiosity, Empathy and Sympathy. Basically, they were too friendly for the normal Daleks' liking.

The new Daleks didn't like the original sort, either. A civil war ensued, and after this point things get a little blurred. An official chronology that I have states that, though massively outnumbered, the good Daleks managed to escape and found small colonies of their own. In time, they came to surpass the evil Daleks as the most common form of Dalek in the universe.

Heh, those amblin Daleks, the Spider Daleks, were cool. They originally popped up in an issue of the Dalek Comic, coming from an alternate universe. They didn't like our own pepperpots very much at all.

And, yeah, DarkelP, they just have to bring the old theme tune to Doctor Who back. It just wouldn't be Who without it.

Duhduhduh Dum, Duhduhduh Dum, Duhduhduh Dum,

Eddie Izzard? I dont think he really suits the role...Alan Davis has the right hair for it, and hes quite funny. He also does have experience in serial acting....You know im gonna download Kazza just so i can listen to the Doctor Who theme tune...Then after previewing it i will promtly go out to the shops and buy it :naughty: because downloading mp3's is wrong kids!

you can buy dr.who theme saongs on cd? well mp3s may be wrong but i wouldn't pay for a tv theme song.
