Lets say the world is going to be destroyed in some massive catastrophe that kills all life within 2 days or so. Theres nothing we can do about it, and in fact most people wouldnt know its going to happen. Lets say, its going to happen in the next 100 years.

Would you want to be here when it happens, and witness the one of the biggest life destroying events in the billions of years of earth's history? Or would you rather have lived your life fully and to the end, and then the world goes boom after you die?

Man, what the hell would I do if I was among the end of days?

Probably whack off.

So, no different than any other day then?

Come on think bigger.

I'd whack off in public.

Oh, yeah, definitely. Maybe whack off naked on the top of a tall hill, and then I'd call my ex and tell her I was whacking off and I was going to splurge on a picture of her face.

How about live the life fully and in your last days, when you're old, the world goes boom?

I'd make it happen just to watch. That is if morals and ethics and the continuation of the human race didn't come into play. Like setting fire to a giant anthill with robotic emotionless ants so nobody can accuse me of being sadistic or genocidal.

Completely natural and out of my control? You bet!

I wouldn't want to see it.

I want to die with hope for the human race, not inevitable despair.

I wouldn't mind seeing the end of the world but I worry about how it's going to happen.

I'm dying anyway. Might as well see something worthwhile.

"WTF, mate?"

Nope. I wouldn't want to live to see such a thing.

Live through such a thing though...

I already know this planet is going to go down sooner or later, I wanna see it..and laugh while I'm pissing on a crowd of people, while singing "I Wanna Rock and Roll" by Kiss. Then, after my bladder empties, my colon is next.

I'm going to make it a day to remember.....other than the giant death part.

Just the intense amount of emotion, realizing the world will end, and all of your past troubles, and arguements with friends, family, and loved ones would just slip through your fingers.
Nothing would matter anymore, you would just appreciate everyone in your life. And that would be quite beautiful, I'd love to witness that sort of intense acceptance and appreciation from everyone in my lifetime.

if this big event happens in my 50's then yes.

i mean you'd be experiencing the biggest thing in earth's history, the first intelligent beings to be extinct in earth's entire 4.something billion year existence...WTF :D

Pffft hell no. Something tells me that I'd either die in a split second or end up standing there watching a lackluster end to the human race on Earth.

"That's it?"

I wouldn't want to be there. I wouldn't even want my children to be there (not meaning I'd like kill them just to make sure they wouldn't be there, I'm not that cruel!). I don't think anyone would really want their kids or grandkids to e the ones who suffer.

It would be awesome just standing there watching the sun go out as a huge meteor bigger than earth descends down on you in a burning exploding mass of heat, I'd be there! (serious)

I'd actually like to be there, sitting at my computer and listening to It's The End Of The World As We Know It(And I Feel Fine). I'd like to be there even more if I could survive and all the survivors would havem to cryogenically freeze themselves, until the next sentient species on Earth would dig us up and worship us as the Precursors.

When faced with inevitable death, a person's true personalities come into play. Perhaps, inside, you are a huge racist. You know you won't live to see consequences, so you don't care to hide it. You see a person's true feelings this way. No one would whack off in the street, they wouldn't even think about such a thing. They would be looting stores, doing whatever the shit they want to. Maybe raping small children, if that's what gets them off. It would be complete and utter anarchy. Whoever your leader is would have gone insane by this point, and shot himself. It would be a frightening experience.

it would be cool to be here when a huge asteroid kills us

but i wouldn't want to stay alive to live in a post apocalyptic world like mad max or something

i can honestly say yea id love to be there IF somehow, out of nowhere, really epic music started playing which suited the atmosphere...like crazy trumpets, a huge opera in the background, tubas etc... **** it would be so epic..id love to be a part of it if it were to happen like that lol

Oh GOD, how I hope zombies come. I am so pumped up for zombies after beating Dead Rising, then reading Zombie Survival Guide right after that.. I feel so prepared for it.. I just want it to happen. Badly.

That'd be a bad-ass end to the earth.

Children of Men.

I don't think the world will ever end; I have great trust in the spirit of Man to let that happen.

But still, It would be pretty frigging awesome. :p

Yes. A Once in a billion lifetimes event is worth dying early to see - thats my vote.

But then again..

To all you guys who voted yes: Would you really want to see the end of the world if, say, things went to crap first? Like a global war or disease etc.?

That would be one incredible disease or war if it killed everyone in two days.

It could be possible though. What if the initial doomsday event didn't kill you though and you had to live through it?
