The fastest you've beat hl2?

Yesterday I finished hl2 in just 6.1 hrs without abusing a single exploit, and was honestly quite proud of myself. So I wanted to know what everybody else's fastest is.

I've never timed myself playing Half-Life 2, so I don't know.
What's a normal time anyway?

I believe the average gameplay time is around 12 - 15 hours

I really don't enjoy playing games fast, so I'm kind of an slow player. I've never timed myself playing, though.

The first time I played through I took (spread out over a week or so) 12 hours. I thought I did this quite fast, so I went through a second time, thinking "I'll do it slower this time, and pay attention to small details", and put it on "Hard" difficulty. I got to a save point a bit into the game, and looked at my old times for saving at the same part.

I had halved the time it took me the first time - and this was supposed to be me going slow! I guess I must have remembered what to do from the first play!

I've only played through HL2 twice, and I was never rushing either. HL2 is like a fine wine, it must be savoured and its full spectrum of flavour and aroma experienced and appreciated. :imu:
