Has 2003 been a good year?

Your chance to sum up the entire year with one answer. Has 2003 been a good year? Usually I try to put as many options in my polls as possible, to suit every opinion, but I want to get a percentage out of this. I don't care what you base it on, personal problems or global issues, it doesn't matter. No clues. Just one answer. Please consider carefully, and feel free to post your reasons.

No HL2 delayed. Iraq War. Columbia. Grandpa getting sick.... etc. It's been a terrible year.

The Good:

- I bought a car (a first!)
- Got a 20% raise
- Straight A's 2 semesters in a row
- A girl actually gave me her phone number (a first!)
- I started working out and lost 20 pounds

The Bad:

- In line with many analysts' predictions I turned out to be pathetic and an utter retard when it comes to dating
- Breakup after 3 month (a first!)
- I'm 20 now

Just plain weird:

- I smoked for the first time ever
- I went without a bath for 4 days straight
- I got lost in a cemetary while heading to a date!

So despite all the good stuff and the craziness I would have to vote NO. I'm one of those people who wants everything to be perfect, not just pretty good.

Sorry Lone, that getting lost in a cemetery cracked me up. One good thing happened to me:
I called a girl(a first!)
Bad:
I got caught looking at porn... :|

Something that happened in the last 20 minutes of 03 made this a good but confusing year for me.

:)

The good

-Lost my virginity :farmer:
-England won the World Cup :bounce:
-I'm 16 and nearly everything is legal (apart from alcohol)

The bad

-Parents broke up
-Had to revise for my GCSEs
-HL2 delayed

So good and bad.

And voting, having a credit card, working full hours, driving, buying a house...

badger i'm guessing it has something to do with your women friend?

my year was so-so, nothing too spectacular so i voted no. i put in a lot of hard work this year, and i'll only get the rewards towards the end of 2004, so this time next year i'll probably be voting for yes *touchwood*

It's been a pretty shite year all-in-all for me, but it wasn't without it's moments, so I'll overlook it as "just another year".

You got it in one mate :P

Lets just say if 2004 is worse I'm going to kill myself ;)

Bad things:
Being poor
Dad getting canser.

Good things:
2M cable put it.

So I would say 2003 has been a shit year, if the next year is like that Im going to beat the crap out of god.

Yep, if my life was a novel, that would definatelly foreshadow the break up that happened the next day :p

I saw sum programme last night with sum crazy astrologer saying that 2003 was a bad year for many due to mars being so close causing stress and tension. :O
