I liked the Fog purely on the films mystery and paranormal aspect (well I liked the film as a whole, mainly because it was a ghost story), and the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis was in it :D

I knew for some time that a remake was in the pipeline, and that very remake now has a trailer for it, click here for the link

Some of the story seems intacked from the trailer, however a few things have been added (as this is the 21st century and people get bored quickly these days)

what is yours views of both the original concept and of the trailer

Loved the original, the concept was fairly original and very intriguing.

The remake looks pretty nifty... has the formula for an average modern-day horror though.
Hot chicks, probable sex scenes, over-used cgi effects, cheap scares.

I'll see it. :D

I haven't seen the original, but that trailer is awful
I've learned not to trust trailers though

The Fog didn't need remaking, the original was as good as it could have been. What it certainly doesn't need is loads of CG special effects to zap the atmosphere.

I think that low humming (when the fog or something spooky happened) in the original is what made the movie as it felt kind of paranormal

I don't like the fact that all the 40+ year old characters from the original are being replaced by 20+ year olds
