The future of PC gaming according to Microsoft

The future of PC gaming is steam-powered.

Actually, I do wish anyone would make some decent that competes with Steam. Competition is good, it's just that every attempt at large-scale digital distribution that I know of other than Steam and GoG (though, is that really large-scale?) seems to have been retarded. Especially GFWL.

When will Microsoft learn that just because something works on a console with a locked in OS where the users have no choice but to use their crappy interface it doesn't mean PC users who have better a far better alternative are going to put up with the same restrictive buggy POS?

That bejeweled chick's power level is over 9000. Also, this is crap, microsoft has nothing on steam.

the fact that it goes to a farm setting in like 20 seconds completly repelled me away

Seems pretty accurate. Just check out how casual mom brought up a list of 'recommended games like Bejeweled 2', shook her head and went back to Bejeweled 2.

Turns out that the future involves:

1) Watching as Microsoft continue chasing hip new markets who don't contribute meaningfully to the industry, and:
2) Having a vagina.
Well. At least they got something right.

Who the **** wants a Facebook wall for their christing avatar. Seriously. No really, who, I want some addresses.

Meh, at least they used BF2.

Yeah. A six year old game that's still being monetized somehow. Whoopee!

"Idol Mums group"

That pretty much sums this up.

Damn good thing Gabe left when he did, or I'd actually have to put up with this shit.

So GFWL will now cater exclusively to ubercausals? Cool.

Avatars and more console type interfaces not designed for a keyboard and mouse? Lovely. I guess the archaic messaging system stays too.

So its just GFWL with avatars? :dozey:
