:(the game says loading

Then doesn't do anything I've installed it ok but on first screen just saying loading in white text and doesn't move

anyone any ideas please

Nothing should take more than a minute or two at worst to load.

Is it downloaded or from DVD or CD?

CD i notice i got an application error what does that mean didnt notice the code sorry

I am having this same problem. It is probably because the game is not fully downloaded(even if it says done updating). Check the properties and it should say how much of it is done. If it is not completed try changing it to automatically updating in the properties menu. When I changed that it started finishing the download but it is not done yet so I am not sure if it will work.
EDIT: just read that you are using cd version so I guess that would not apply.

First thing to try is that you have recent versions of drivers for your graphics card, sounds card and Direct X and to download more recent ones if not.

I know i got dx 9 so thats alright but how do i check me sound and video drivers
