You know your favorite director Uwe Boll?? Look at the movies he's making:

Fear Effect (2008) (announced)
Hunter: The Reckoning (2007) (announced)
Far Cry (2006) (announced)
Night Claws (2005) (announced)
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2006) (post-production)
Bloodrayne (2006) (completed)

We are all doomed!! He's making so many game movies it's very disturbing!!

Far Cry!!??, Hunter the Reckoning....what the hell is he thinking!? Lets all hope he doesn't turn around and announce "LOOK AT ME!! I'M DIRECTING HALF-LIFE!!1!!!"

Fear effect is a game on Playstation..which sucked, Bloodrayne will turn into another Vampire movie...how new is this director??

(Moderators please leave in Gaming chat as it contains games....thanks :) )

If by chance you do not know who Uwe Boll is..he also made "House of the Dead" and "Alone in the dark" Two very and extremely stupid videogame movies.

There have been plenty of people offering to make a movie for Half-Life to Valve, but so far Valve has said no to everyone as no one has got a storyline and theme that Valve liked.

If it was good Games with a Story that would be cool be he always chooses shitty games :\

movie industry is running out of original ideas, books, plays, other shite, so why not video games? lawl, oh well

Uwe Boll might be out of a job soon. The only reason he can make total flops, yet still have a high enough budget to make more movies, is because of a loophole in German tax laws, where contributers can make a profit on a box office failure. However, Germany is working towards revising those laws. The revisions will take place January 2006. After that, Mr. Boll may not be able to fund his movies anymore.

I'm so glad that Valve is awesome enough not to let Half-Life fall into this idiot's hands.

QFT
And this is old news. These projects have mostly been in the works forever. Bloodrayne was actually finished up a while ago, I'm not sure what became of it.

it is supposed to come out in 2006...

They're probably still trying to get it published then, or the publisher is sitting on it for the time being. I can't remember precisely where I saw it, but I remember reading a preliminary review of it.

I think Uwe Boll is trying to go by the methodology of "If I make so many movies, one of them will HAVE to be good..."

Eventually he'll make a good movie, right?
"SURVEY SAYS!" AAAANNNNNNNNT! HELL NO! "SORRY JACK!"

Aint' gonna happen my friend.....

And uh wasn't it said that BloodRayne was to be released This Fall/ Winter?:|

I can see FarCry as a movie, it seems pretty movie-isk. Simple.

I read this on wikipedia...

He is currently in a bidding war for rights to Half-Life and Metal Gear Solid, and recent online interviews suggest that he may be after the rights to Fallout and Castlevania as well.

In a bidding war for rights to half-life! Are they entertaining the idea!?!?

A half life movie would be great if they completely stayed away from game character's, and based it on the HL universe rather than anything game story related.. i.e following resistance member's as the combine take over during the portal storm's that wouldnt be tacky if it was done properly.

Boll purposefully makes bad movies to exploit a German tax loop hole where you can be reimbursed for lost investments.

So we're in a no win situation really until they close the loop hole. If we don't go to see his movies then we're lining his pockets and if we do go to see his movies and he somehow makes a profit on one we'll be sending out the message that we want Boll to make more movies.

"In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale"

is that really the title of the movie? omg what moron dreamed that up ..it pretty much sums up what to expect

except u have a moron as a director which means...as much potential the game/movie might have...it all doesn't matter when an aweful director is picked. :|

Lmfao! Thats great. He needs to seriously stop making movies.

When is someone going to make a movie solely for gamers? It'll be a combination of short films that all spoof some games... Perfect example are all the CS spoofs made by random kids, they're great and hilarious most of the time :D
Imagine 120 of them (almost all of them of a different game). I'd watch it.

Hitman is a good game series. :D

And Halo has nothing to do with Ewe Boll.

Sims "The Movie"
World of Warcraft "The Movie"
Civilization "The Movie"
Unreal Tournament 2004 "The Movie"
Windows Media Player "The Movie"

You forgot Minesweeper!

I'm pushing for Ski Stunt Simulator: The Movie. If that fails... I'd like to see Shoot the Moon: A Hearts Tale.

As a matter of fact yes....I even have a computer in my cave so I can go on these forums too :)

I wonder how people would react if boll actually DID make a good movie. heads exploding, I expect.

Heads exploding? What a good movie concept!

I would of paid to see a FEAR movie rather than a FEAR EFFECT movie
