The Gate

I just saw this on the PHL main site, a mod called the Gate. Based loosly on StarGate it got a 90% rating! It looks to be one of the best SP mods out there, but I'll play through it first before I give that statement. But if there is anyone out there who likes Stargate and is looking for a good SP mod, check it out!

I've played it, and while It's certainly impressive for an amateur mod, that's not to say it's very good. I thought it wasn't that much fun to play, but compared to other SP mods, it's one of the best. I'm glad to see people really putting the effort into making these mods.

However, Poke646 remains as my favourite SP mod for Half-Life (that's currently available ).

I've been playing this for a bit now, voice acting isn't all that great, but story is close to SG, and I love SG. So it's all good for me I liked that scene before you enter the gate and everyone salutes. Even if it isn't the greatest mod out there, they got some nice cut-scenes.
