Hey, in about 20 minutes I'm leaving to my school for the first time in 3 months to get my GCSE results. I know we have quite a few young members, so why not share your results here? And people who got their A-level results last week, post them here too :) And for all you Americans/Not-British, GCSE is a type of exam you take when you're 15/16 and determines what you will take in A-level during the next two school years which determine your next step in life.

Good luck to everyone! :D

I got four As. Two years ago.

Seriously good luck everyone!

I got one A, five Bs, two Cs and an E! Eighteen years ago!

Of course, GCSEs were harder back then...

4 As, 1 A*, 1 D and the rest Bs two years ago.

I'm on my second year of IB right now, with my current predicted grade 35 (it should be 37, but the teachers decided it was a good idea to force us to work harder over the summer by lowering our predicted grades).

6A*s, 3A's and 6B's and nothing below that :D

Wooooooooo!

RE - C

That's good for me.

A monkey could pass the GCSEs these days.

I'll be taking the ACT this spring. I'm actually pretty nervous about it.

We don't need that shit here in Belgium.

We all own.

I can remember picking up my GCSE's, there was a kid in my class going around saying, "How awesome is this, my results spell FUDGE." He was very proud.

I didn't even get my results, but that's a good thing because now my parents don't know that I've failed my GCSE's, well the ones I showed up for. :\

Can I squeeze in my 2:1 in English Language and Literature, or have the ageists got to you too? (Ok, I got this result several months ago, but pff).

Could have been higher but woefully, I learned too late that Queer Theory essays were instant Firsts only in my last term.

Oh, and I walked out of an exam without writing anything in second year. Second year being the year before my first attempt at third year. It's all a rich tapestry.

edit: Just because I ought to say, passing GCSEs is really all you have to do. I seem to be the only person I know who did any good at them, and the end result was that I burned out. A friend of mine had rubbish GCSE results, mediocre A-Levels, and she's now a student with a first and a promising future in Medicine. So good luck everyone, but don't worry if you don't do phenomenally.

Im taking my GCE O Levels next year.

Does that apply to this thread?

I got a 2:1 for my first year engineering exams. Doesn't count towards anything other than to stay on for a masters degree.

I think I got 3 A's, the rest B and C at GCSE and I got A in Maths, B in Physics and C in History at A-Level.

Award in Digital applications- U

That probably because of that new bill/act that lowered the requirements for medical programs. Grades do matter for entrance requirements but once you're out of the system your employers really isn't going to care too much.

Wait what are these the equivilents of the SC exam (compulsary school leaving exams) or the HSC (standardised University Entrance exams)?

GCSE = school leavers, A-level = university entrance. Most people do about 8-10 of the former and 3-4 of the latter. Or did in my day anyway.

University here I come :)
And I'm pretty happy with my results, considering I didn't revise :D
