New film coming out by Alexander Aja, director of the great Switchblade Romance (aka High Tension)...has the bird in it from 'Lost' (Emile de Ravin, plays Claire in Lost)...is a remake of the Wes Craven film, and it looks pretty good, see what you think:

boy was that movie SHITTY. the only thing more hysterically frightening than seeing that piece of shit is reading about a remake. GOD, NO.

Depends though, there are remakes for the sake of remaking, obviously only to gain more money in the hope that people enjoyed the original, or theres remakes where a director finds a film that wasn't too great, didn't do too well, so attempts to make a better film with the story. Which is what i think this is, and seeing as i enjoyed the directors previous film i'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Yeah, I wouldn't watch this at all. It looks too much like all of the other (HORRIBLE) hollywood remakes you guys have already mentioned...and House of 1000 Corpses as well. What a shame that there is so little innovation in the field, same thing with gaming. Its there, but nobody wants to risk the $ on it and everyone suffers for the greed of the execs. ;(
