So I was talking to DigiQ8 about his English/Arabic keyboard and he sent me this horrible photo of a keyboard that he uses. Now my keyboard has been in use pretty much as long as his, 8+ years. However mine is black still, it's dusty. More importantly is that the rough texture on the keys and the right side of the broken/tilted Spacebar is polished. I have hit that spot so many times that it's polished with my bare fingers!

So it got me thinking, how dirty is your keyboard hl2.net?

My current keyboard is ok, although I've only been using it for a little over a year now.

However if you want to see dirty, let me dig up a photo of a mouse I was using years ago.

spoiler-ed for gruesome

I wore down the area right under my spacebar because I lay my thumb there all the time. Only a small spot is actually visible. It went from silver to cheap plastic white. Completely smooth. All letter keys are smooth.

"Holy Jesus... WHAT IS THAT?! WHAT THE **** IS THAT?!"

They keypad's * and - keys are the loneliest ones.

I really don't understand how this happens to you guys, it's gross. I've been using the same 20 dollar water resistant Logitech K120 from Wal-Mart for two years and it barely has a smudge.

There you go

Was this the result of Desert Storm or Operation Iraqi freedom? Either way I'm sorry artillery misfired on it's way to Iraq.

My keyboard's outside isn't that bad, I recently cleaned it. I'm going to open it up soon though, which will reveal like 15 years of crap that has gathered on the inside.

Also: What the **** Digi.

My keyboard itself isn't all that dirty but there are crumbs everywhere because I often eat at my desk. I sprayed some of them out recently but gave up because they don't do anything to my keyboard just hanging out in there. Every so often I pick up a can of those clean-everything-you-see wipes and make my world much shinier... and I did that recently. So it's pretty much your average crappy logitech black keyboard looking a little dusty with some random crumbs.

By the way black keyboards really help you avoid that covered in brown shit you have going on Digi

For geting rid of dust or crumbs I use a large paint brush to clean my keyboard. Fast, easy, and effective.

Yeah he said nobody in his family smoked. I had a friend whose mom and dad smoked and the keyboard was like Digi's. He also said he ate that Subway sandwich and didn't wash his hands after using that keyboard. Anyways, LOOKS LIKE THE DESERT GOT TO THE KEYBOARD, HAR HAR HAR!

I just love this keyboard so much, I'm not changing it anytime soon!

Over a year old and still white. I amaze myself sometimes.

I cleaned mine out not too long ago. It stays pretty clean surprisingly, most large crumbs just get stuck between the keys and I can get it out easily, only smaller stuff manages to sneak down between them. Dust is the worst problem with mine, it's a black keyboard so it shows up so well. The other problem with mine is that the A, S, D, W, C and Ctrl letters have all been rubbed out, due to obvious circumstances. I might post a picture later.
