A guy brought his Dell Latitude laptop in for me to look at...I boot it up and see the error message "Memory module is out of date. Strike the F1 key to shutdown."

Has ANYONE ever seen this message? Google, Yahoo, ask.com has nothing!

it would be best to contact dell, but could just be something with the bios so check that.

After contacting Dell it was a bad memory module. I opened the notebook and it has a 64MB module and a 32MB module. 32MB module was bad...I'm gonna recommend getting more RAM for this customer especially since it's a PIII laptop "Designed for Windows XP". It shouldn't be running such slow ram (PC100) and especially 96MB RAM (Now 64MB). Thing won't boot into Windows it's so slow.
