The Island out on DVD

It seems like i was the only one that thought it was a great movie. Anyone else here like it? Are you gonna buy it? I certainly am.

I hear the first hour or so is good. Its a gigantic depature from the usual shit Bay does. But then after that, it turns into a regular brainless action movie.

I'll rent though. Looked like the first decent Bay film besides the Rock.

It's quite good, but declines. Starts off very cool and goes downhill, and although the later 'action ACTION ACTION' stages aren't bad at all, it falls flat towards the very end. One of those films that's remarkable not so much for what it actually does but for the tantalising flashes of what it could have been in the hands of someone else.

It was pretty decent. Scarlett Johansson looked at her best in it.
