As the title says, The Last Alliance is a Lord of the Rings mod for HL2.

It will feature:
• Intense gameplay that is close to The Lord of the Rings.
• Battle with 32 persons on maps, like the Shire, Helm's Deep, Minas Tirith and Mordor.
• Gain experience and upgrade yourself to the perfect warrior to combat the forces of good or evil.
• Fight with 8 familiar and special classes, like Aragorn, Legolas or even the Nâzgul
• All of the special classes will have their own unique specials.
• Play different game modes, like Team Deathmatch, Ringbearer and Fellowship.
• Ride on horses (beta 2) or fly on a fell-beast (beta 3).
• Buy upgrades or Creatures, like a Balrog, an Ent or a Cavetroll, to increase your chances to succeed your journey. (Beta 2)
• Buy towers to gain entrance to The White City via the walls. Buy Catapults to crush the enemy forces.(both in beta 3)

What we need are:
-Coders
-Modelers/Animators/Skinners
-Mappers
-Sound Artists
-Texture artists

Can't see this getting far

For a start I don't see New Line Cinema, Wingnut Films, Weta, the Tolkien estate or the devs and publishers on the games keeping quiet, considering LotR's online aswell as the other games out there.

You got permission to use the locations, designs, characters etc right? You are aware that the Tolkien Estate just on its own is very powerful and doesn't stand for things like this without permission.. A recent case where they won against the name being used by a cyber squatter http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/3394591.stm

Pay close attention to the following bit "Alberta Hot Rods, a Canadian-based company, which linked the jrrtolkien.com domain to their commercial website, was ruled to have no legitimate rights."

..no legitimate rights.. Somehow I doubt you have any either.

So The legal issues involved, the copyright of including but not limited to characters, logo's, locations, designs, not to mention the only image on your site isn't even yours (that map)

Claims that its already started work with the team hard at it.. Yet another page shows there is no team, just a couple of guys

Nothing but wild idea's no solid stuff there

Lastly, your turning Lord of the Rings into something it was never meant to be. a CS clone. Buying Balrog's?? FFS. Read the books. No true LotR's fan will touch it. It would be like turning Aliens into a comedy or Blade Runner a sitcom. Show it some respect and just do a straight WWII mod like everyone else. Leave the masterpieces of modern literature to the experts. It's just too big for you. Everything you do with it will be compared to the books, and films and torn apart. Save yourself the humiliation and do something more to your level

Sorry to be so negative, others can agree I've never been so against a mod before, but there you have it.

yet another make my mod for me mod?

seems like it to me, I have seen loads of them. Infact to many. Also yet again its a person with only 1 post wanting help. He obviasly don't give a shit about the community or want any part of it. Then he asks for help from everyone, sigh... maybe its a good idea tog et to know some of the people in this forum make freinds and ask your freinds to work for u. Also it don't help that a LOTR mod is a bit bland here it is simple:

1. COPYRIGHT!
2. ALREADY BEEN DONE/ TRYED
3. Since there is already 4+ offical LOTR games, whats the point?
4. LOTR never made a good game anyway except for a stratige game.

Its only my opinion, but tbh. u know what I am just gunan shut up :D I am to stressed out :(
