As you all know everything was better in the past. This certainly holds true for intro themes of TV series. Been browsing YouTube for the last half hour or so and I have come to the conclusion that the intro of Buck Rogers is probably my all time favorite. Big orchestral score with a lot of disco cheesiness. It is awesome imho.

A special mention for The Persuaders intro composed by John Barry.

Post yours!

Battlestar Gallactica is awesome as well. lolled at the clip. Also Happy days ftw.

I have a tendency to go on binges where I watch entire seasons at a time, which makes me ****ing hate 90% of all intro themes.

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere...

****, need to edit my post now.
Forgot a few, thought Shaker was mostly asking for oldish shows.

Nah, anything really. In my opinion current themes suck, but prove me wrong.

believe it or not, me being anti-redneck/hillbilly/south and all I really like the theme to the Dukes of hazzard. I'll sing along to it if I hear it played. waylon jennings = awesome

odd cuz besides this sort of stuff and classic country, I hate country music

there's atoo many great themes to list:

Hogan's heroes, A-Team, Quantum Leap, Greatest American Hero, Batman, Gilligans Island, WKRP in Cincinnati , Welcome back carter, Sanford & Son, the Jeffersons ..these last three are instant classics

Waylon is also the narrator of the series, isn't he? And he is idd awesome. If we're going for sing-a-long factor I'd vote Diff'rent Strokes though :D

I remember that Show. Great song.

Youtube is really pissing me off. Couldn't find just the intro, so part of an episode will have to do. The actual intro starts at 2.12

It was on BBC I think too Stern. Pretty good show.

^^ Seems interesting. Did a search on it and in short it's about an ex british spy that becomes a crime fighter.

It was actually really suprising popular in Britain, the only reason it stayed on air for so long was that it was popular in Canada and Britain. They even were repeating the TV series on the BBC a year back. The creator of Due South, Paul Haggis went onto write Million Dollar Baby, Crash and touch up the new James Bond scripts. Too bad hes a Scientologist though.
