Remember The Movies?

Post your Movies. I demand it!

Here is mine which was my first actual movie made and thus is a bit choppy with inconsistencies and so on. But I think it's funny. It's also a bit odd since it started off as one thing and ended up another - it's unclear where the 'sweltering under the heat of racial tension blahblah' bit would have ever become relevant.

Need winrar.

So post your own! There must be more people on this site than just me who made movies with that game.

I made a lot but I can't bother to export them in the right size.

I want to buy and try that game, but even if I did make a movie when I got it, I've got dial-up and it'd take ages to upload...

Wow, that was a cool movie! Not the fighting so much... but that one scene where the cops are sweeping the subway station for the bomber is quite a piece of cinema.

And  at "The next bomb will detonate in 24 hours! Happy Hunting : )"

Subtitles went a little quick, and could have used some way to tell who was talking at any given moment when the camera wasn't on them. Those are probably criticisms of the game though... besides that, I enjoyed it :)

Wow, nice movie but i really got to get my hands on that game

Cheers all. As I said, that was the first film I made where I actually bothered to customise it myself, rather than leaving the whole production on automatic.

Yeah, more of you bastards need to get this game and make movies, damnit!

There are some very good movies that get put out on the interwebs, and here's three of them: King Kong, in all its glory (seriously!)! Obviously, I didn't make this. You can click 'download this movie' to watch it even though it says it's been removed.

Part One
Part Two!
Part Three!
Others by the same crew!

I think I'm going to get back into this game, cause it's so fun. I really love trying to make good things with a limited toolset, because it forces you to be creative - like, for example, the Timesplitters story map editor, which can produce amazing things despite being really crap. :D

I hated that game, wasn't enough freedom at all.

I'm acquiring the game as we speak. I should be off making movies in no time.

Sulkdodds: You wouldn't happen to have a save-game file that has all the sandbox pieces unlocked, would you? I don't want to spend 20 hours playing through the actual game if I don't have to :P

Nah, I'm afraid I only got as far as the 70s. You'll just have to make the effort, like a real hollywood big shot!

Oh wait. :smoking:

Hmmm, I'm thinking of getting this. What's the price now?

8 quid from Amazon! Though I don't know how that ships to Ireland.

The expansion pack's fifteen quid, though I have no idea what it actually adds. Haven't played The Mobies for a while now.

I hear the expansion pack, aside from the promised 'Stunts' and/or 'Effects', new animations, new preset camera angles, set pieces, and a free-cam that lets you make custom angles, zooms, pans, and combinations thereof. It sounds like a worthy addition to me.

Can't watch it.

Keeps telling me some bullshit about the .rar being corrupt.

What level of customizeation of camera angles, animations, characters, stages etc can you get?

Are there any community sites for this game? Or maybe a decent tutorial on the freecam system, instead of the half-assed FMV tutorial that comes with the game?

v.little.

Like I said, just because there are severe limitations it doesn't mean you have to be limited (too much, anyway...) - I mean, look at what people do with iambic pentameter. :p

EDIT: Yous who cannae download it...I have no idea what the problem is. I can't right now, but I'll try and upload one to rapidshare or summat. :O

I couldn't before but now I can. It was probably just one of filefronts servers. I had this happen before and just switched servers and it worked, but it doesn't seem to let you do that anymore. I really liked the swat raid scene. The animations in the movies seem like they were made for comedy though. One of the reasons I don't bother to much with my movies.
