Caught my eye, it's actually pretty unsettling, all these symbols etc. falling into place. Check it out if you like conspiracy/revelation/end times stuff.

Why exactly is this pope supposed to be the last pope?
 
There's been "predictions" about the now deceased pope being the last one.
Just like jehova's witnesses "predicted" judgement day in the 70's.
 
Because it lines up with a prophecy that you can get if you tease a lot of stuff out of the book of Revelations in the Bible and line it up against the calendar and beliefs of ancient Central Americans. If you think of Jesus as Quetzcoatal, then he's supposed to come back at the end of this Popes reign.
I wasn't even trying to be sarcastic but that poast just kind of sounds like it on its own. :D

If you don't wanna read it, it's trying to explain and provide evidence that the new Pope is the "false prophet" spoken of in the bible that will set the grounds for the entrance of the anti christ.
 
Also the current pope is german!Which germany was orginally the holy roman empire or something and they are gonna take over the EU and something...

If its gonna happen, its gonna happen. So lets just carry on with your lives, and if you're a christian try to save as many people as you can. No sense talking about the pope like that though, because they've done that with a lot of people over the years.

yeah my friend has been going on about this or the past few days and is pretty confident the world is going to end soon...but then again he also thinks the Canadian version of the CIA which is CSIS is spying on him outside in a van lol
 
What does that actually have to do with the current thread though?
 
somehow all this rings false, i think the only true destructor of man is man, simple enough, and it's gonna happen soon enough
all these prophecies worry me, someone might make them come true just so they can say they were right, and that scares me

Well. If you're talking about religious stuff, and the christian aspect of the end days regarding the false prophet. If everybody starts loving this pope(non religious people too), and he suddenly announces he's god? Well... that's when you know to start worrying. Heh.

Absolutly no idea.

How people can even tease anything concrete from Revelations is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, Revelations is an entertaining read, but to take ANY piece of it literally or take any of it as prophecy is just ignorant.
 
Misintepration has led to so much stupidity. Revelations...gee i don't know! Misintepration + thousands of years = religions with strange beliefs.

It's a freaking stain on the wall...it is NOT the virgin Mary!! It may even be a urine stain. But we know in 1000 years if that stain is misinteprated enough it will be a God.

edit: The point i was making...Revelations is some dudes dream. He wrote it down. Add a few thousand years of misintepretation and it has nothing to do with what the guy originally wrote down...most likely. If you start writing down about the end of the world today you get locked up in a mental institution and rightly so. Such institutions didn't exist in the days of "new religions being created"

Like I said in another thread...

No one will know untill all the things the bible and other prophecies says starts actually happening.

He could possibly be the anti-christ himself, he could be working for the anti-christ, or it could be bs.We won't know for a while...

According to this site (and others I've checked) Pope Celestine II is Pope number 165. Pope John Paul II was Pope number 264. According to my knowledge of math Pope John Paul II was Pope 99 after Pope Celestine II, not Pope 110.

Well...it is a prophecy...so again we don't know.

Most prophecies are bs anyways...so that one could be also.
 
So....who told St. Malachy that the world would end when Pope 111 comes around? An Apparition? God? How do we know St. Malachy is even right, or that he could've been a schizophrenic? Maybe it was a dream? Maybe this prophecy spawned from a "night terror".

If you ask me the whole concept is babushka. I mean, i seriously doubt that we are the only beings in the universe, and for God to just go "Ok, Earth has reached its 111th Pope, time to end existence" is absurd and completely self-centered of the human race to think that.
 
I quite obvious, 111 is the first triple digit numeral with three repeating digits. That's like the devil in the math world.

That would be more like the 666th Pope is the Anti-Christ, which makes more sense, even though some random guy just decided to say "Hey guys...i think if the Devil had a number, it would 666 because its 999 upside down. OOOoooOOOoooOOOoo"
 
Don't think so. Most of the people who supported the last Pope were young.

If you make enough "predictions" (ie. guesses) you're bound to be proven right at some time - especially cos there isnt a time limit on them it seems...
