I heard some good things about these series before, but I never really checked what it was really about, except comedy set in office. So I mad blind buy, and you know what, you British lads sure know how to make comedy. Just came back from watching first episode, hilarious stuff. Question though, how long are series, I only seen two DVD cases, bought one, with six episodes on it. My guess is 12 episodes at all, but do you guys know if more coming out soon? British humor is the best.

yeah there's 12 episodes in all, and 2 christmas special episodes (dunno where to get hold of those :/ )

the office is bloody hilarious, but gervais and merchant said there'll be no more episodes ;(

i remember reading on the BBC website that gervais is working on a new show based an an oil rig or something. should be good :D

Isnt it a movie? Or am im thinking about something else?

"mmm... that would be great"

yeh... the office is pretty good.
but ill tell you who cracks me up, and hes british, Ali G. He's so funny, makes me laugh so ahrd everytime i watch him.

I cant stand the office, its like real work only fun...wait...its like real work only...like real work. I see it as a documentary.

Hate Ricky 'A**hole' Gervais too.

Try "I'm Alan Partridge" instead which main charachter reminds of David Brent with one exception; Alan's funnier.

I watched the two series of The Office and it brought a few chuckles out of me but after watching it the second time I decided I had have enough of it.

It's original I admit that, but it just ain't my cup of tea. It's interesting to watch the first time but no laugh of loud stuff.

Doesn't matter though, there's tons of other good Britcoms out there to please me :D
Britain is certainly the king of comedy, unfortunately I cannot say the same with their drama-series :(

Btw, how many have seen Shaun of the Dead? Saw the trailer and laughed out loud, wish they'd release it on DVD soon.

The Office is just...hilarious. I also like I'm Alan Partridge and The League of Gentlemen.

The office is a work of genius, especially if you've ever worked in an office before. Some of the stuff you can really relate to real life offices :D

By the way, who likes Jack Dee?

The office is supposed to make you cringe rather than chuckle, and Chris_D is right, those who've worked in regular offices will get a kick out of how scarily similar it is.

Trivia, Gareth was partially based on a guy I used to know, cracked me up with the whole team leader thing lol

The league of gentlemen was great, brilliant show, very weird but great.

Alan Partridge was very funny at times, I prefered those to his first one while he had his TV show, the second series with him staying in the motel had some classic moments.

I liked the way that Gareth would brag that he had power over everyone becaue he was 'Team Leader' that was great. I recently bought both Series 1 and 2 on DVD and just started to watch them.

Have you seen the Christmas special two parter yet? I thought that was really well done, rounded off the whole thing perfectly.

Yeah I have..really rounded off the stories well. Ha! David in his car driving around trying to find a date. Found one and the things he would say when he saw them were absoloutely hilarious! And you had some support for Davd when they were taking the mick out of his new found woman.

I thought that was great how he got one up on them with her. And the bit with Tim and Dawn was brilliant, expected it but thought it was really well done.

Oh and the bits where you saw him doing the rounds with other z-list celebs lol! the blind date bit was pure gold.

Howard and bubble from Big Brother. For two people with no actual acting talent I thought they played those parts perfectly. Afterall its probably very very hard to keep a straight face around that guy :)

Did you see the documentary type thingy on David Brent starring in Alias? When he was just walking around he was funny. I can't wait to see any of his future work.
