The original HL remade in source??

I read in PCGamer that the original HL is going to be remade in the Source engine. Does any1 else know anything about this? :rolling:

Annihilator_91: Yes, Valve is converting the original Half-Life to the Source engine. It remains to be seen whether the conversion will add frills or be pretty basic, but it's supposed to ship along with Half-Life 2, if I'm not mistaken.

I believe the conversion will included the fire effects, better lighting and shadowing, enemy models (don't know about all of them, at least the ones that are in hl2), water shaders,particle effects, physics...

but the game architecturally will still be only as detailed as HL1 was... it will be pretty roughed out but the mod teams will have a go with it and hopefully a good team will make hi-res textures and make the rest of the game up to hl2 standards :-D
