The thread is about whether you play as the opposite sex in RPG's.

I always start up a new game and pick my guy and I'm having fun ... but then you get absorbed in the game, and the graphics start to look a bit more believable, and you have been playing for hours ... and it's late ...when all of the sudden one of those sexy ****ing elves or someshit goes running past half nude and you look at your ****** hairy bearded muscle ogre with great disdain.

Time to make a new character.

It depends though - are the females sexy as hell? Then perhaps; otherwise no.

And I remember I used to play MMORPG's with my girlfriend for years and after a while I just ended up playing as a girl all the time, and she didn't care that much. Occasionally she complained to me in private about the awkwardness when strangers came into the group or whatever.

I just found her enjoyable to use, never getting tired of the way she looked, while I couldn't stand having to see the male character for another second.

personally I think it depends on the class and game.

If I am playing a caster or "clothie" class that doesnt involve strength, I prefer female.

But if I am playing something like a warrior, or paladin, or something that needs brute strength, I prefer a male character by far.

80% perv, 20% protector here. I choose female in every game I can, unless it's a game like street fighter where I prefer a certain fighting style from a male, and even then I choose the most feminine one I can.

I would bang the Ivy cosplayer, though might have to put a bag over her face. Ivy makes me hot. Ample thighs make me hot.

I pretty much always play a male. The character is an extension of my ego and I model him as such. Although I'll roll a female on a second playthrough to see anything different.

And I won't lie. I enjoy the digital jubblies.
