The white patches are dried up lakes, that one is groom lake I think.

Area 51 is just an airbase with loads of security, Site 4 is far more interesting.
 
The Area 51 you know is just a distraction from the REAL area 51. Underground in montana!
 
I thought Area 51 was where they kept Aliens. Seriously.
 
If there was really weird shizzle at Area 51 I'm sure they'd cover over the top of it and not leave it in full view of satellites.

And plus, there are already images of the base on websites.
 
What I'd be interested in is the military technology they're testing and developing there...not the fact that it exists and can be seen via satellite :sleep:
 
I think Area 51 is a place with latest military technologies. They keep it so tightly secured so foriegn spies can't get in.

I realize that Area 51 isn't really so secret. However, there has always been a lot of mysteries surrounding the compound; and being as heavily guarded as it is, it is pretty ****in funny that the general public can view the site through google maps. :P

Does anyone know where Site 4 is located?

It's just an AF Testing range. Tech like the stealth bombers and such put to use there.

You could view this using the keyhole program someone posted long ago (which is what google bought and is using)

I was the one who said you could do the exact same thing with Keyhole, but nobody listened. ;(

Area 51 is the famous government base idolized by ufologists, conspiracy theorists, and believers in extraterrestrials.

Story has it that alien craft from around the world are stored, studied, and reverse engineered.

This is probably the site where the Stealth bomber was designed and tested.

The stories that originate from here are nothing short of amazing and fantastic. Its codename was/is rumored to be 'Dreamland'.

Are the stories true? Possibly.

They're definitely testing something spectacular out there. Whether its alien or not remains to be seen.

Yes, he was. I'd venture to guess that most Presidents have been clueless as to what really happens there. A lot of it is privately funded by weapons manufacturers, aerospace companies, and specialized military projects.

When Clinton was in office, he was asked to be briefed on the subject of UFOs and his request was denied. (May have been Carter too)

Everything is compartmentalized. You know only what you need to know in order to do your job. Or so I've heard. :)

An ex-Clinton aide, John Podesta, said this about the governments secrecy. "It is time for the government to declassify records that are more than 25 years old and to provide scientists with data that will assist in determining the real nature of this phenomenon."

I believe a Mr. Lazarus said he worked there on reverse engineering a UFO for human use. I'm pretty sure.

EDIT: Well I searched for Area-51 on the google map thing myself and did indeed find it. There's these green dots on the map...I think they're covering base's buildings.

It is believed that Bill Lazar is a total liar. Ther are some really conflicting things regarding his story.
