Pfft.. What's so bad about the RIAA?

Them tricking people into thinking that if they give them all their personal info, they wont be sued. But in reality only the RIAA cant sue them, so they hand all that info to all the record companys who will sue you with all that info that you signed to and said was true.

And they're also sueing a 12yr old girl for downloading music. Thet want 2500 to settle out of court, the little girl said she didnt know it was illegal.

Detention....who would be scared of detention.I say screw it and wear it to school.

Uhhhhh....not where I live they don't.Detention is for the kiddies in 8th grade and below. Here at my high school the closet thing to some type of detention is, (ISS) In School Suspension.Which is actually cool because all you do is sit in cubicle all day and do nothing. You even get to sleep.

Where you are it's called ISS,but here it's called CSI from some reason...

That little girl is a friggin liar. She and everybody else knows its illegal. And her parents are doubly guilty cause they probably have no clue what this little 12-yr old is doing on the computer.

When I get paid there will be a large parcel of tshirts being shipped to my address, including this one.

Fact : Artists are not given royalites anyway UNLESS the profit sales surpasses production/distribution costs. Therefore, even some of the most popular bands do not receive royalties, even before 2000 and the Napster ordeal.

Fact : Despite American actions, the majority of piracy, be it music, movies, games, or software, are committed OUTSIDE the United States and therefore outside American jurisdiction. Sharman Networks, for example, is based in Australia while servers have been found in East Asia, mainland Asia, and Israel.

Fact : CD sales have NOT plummeted as much as the RIAA says. Although CD sales have decreased, it is the PROFIT that have been so decimated (due to rising costs of CD production).

Fact : Half the members of the RIAA will still make more money in three years (say, 2000-2003) than all the members of this message board combined in an average lifetime, squared.

Conclusion : I seriously don't give a rat's monkey's uncle about the qualms of the music industry.
