The Team Fortress 2 blog is rapidly becoming a very interesting place to find out off-beat news about the game. Take this latest entry which shows off some Team Fortress 2 trading cards which, while planned for distribution as promotional items at cyber cafes never came into public light, until now![br]<div align="center"> </div>[br]You can find the Demoman trading cards right here then sit back and relax until some more emerge.

Wonder if they'll release the pyro card with his/her backstory :P

Pretty cool regardless, and the demoman card made me laugh.

cool. but, i'm pretty confident that the majority of us are too old for that shit.

I saw a poster-size one of these about the pyro in a game shop in Berkeley (but it was more a 'guide' than a 'bio'. Maybe something else?) The owner said that Valve gave it to them. Needless to say, they didn't want to part with it.

That info about the demoman is the text to the "Meet the Demoman" video on Steam.

Yeah, come on guys. They have those for every class with a video so far :|

Well, not cards, but the little bio.

Yea, none of these descriptions are new. They're released with the "Meet the" videos. Btw, the soldiers bio is very lol

well i actually have like 30 packs of these cards. I visited valve not too long ago and i got to playtest all the new character achievments they're releasing for tf2 and they gave me a whole bunch of those cards. They're actually really cool. Theres spec cards for the pyros flame thrower and the heavy'' minigun and cards for all the maps

well share info from those cards?

Well, you did say "i got to playtest all the new character achievments". Does that mean the achievements for the other classes are done or did you test the medic and pyro achievements? :)

no just the pyro ones. sorry guys. I went back in may. I did however see some interesting artwork for an un-announced game. they couldnt tell me what it was

If you're not under an NDA, mind sharing what the artwork looked like? :p

Scans please? Or info about Medic?

They better have a stick of tasteless, rock-hard gum included in the pack, or I'm sending a scathing email to Mr. Walker.

Seems like the pistol wasn't supposed to be a engie weapon judging from the loadout on the card.

the artwork i saw was of some characters that looked like the rebels from HL2 only a bit more well equipped and modern. Could be new concepts for rebels at the arctic base in HL2 Ep3? Idk

lol sweet, when the LAN i work at (which is part of valve's cybercafe program) gets those I'm taking all of them for myself

I don't think anybody is ever getting those :(

We find it unfortunate that we were never able to produce these at a larger scale

You'll notice that the TF2 posters you can buy from the Valve store also have "Official Steam Cybercafe" on them. :hmph:
