Everyone has seen Gary from NJ do his chair dance - the original site has had over 1 million hits.

But what you may not have seen - is the music video from the Romanian Band O-Zone that made “Dragostea Din Tei,” the song he is chair dancing too....

This post is for the Americans - I know all you Euros danced to the song in Summer 2004.

replaced "danced to the song" to "bashed head repeatedly against the floor whenever I heard the song" and itll be much more accurate.
I hated it yet it was so popular. :|

Its mayby worst song ever. I hate these East europe disco trash.
O-Zone is tasteless synthetic band for buggers.

It's a limb-amputatingly awesome song, and anyone who disagrees should jump off a cliff. In a car. With all the doors locked, and the exhaust pushing choking fumes through the chassis.

sarcasm really doesn't come through on the 'net, huh

A few people just asked me what the song was because of the Gary clip - so I found the filmclip - im not the band manager...

And I like Punk Rock - so its not really my thing either...

I believe it got well into the top 5 of the UK chart... nation of retards.

Well it was not just the UK. It was pretty much all of Europe.

I am mindful of the popularity of anything on a massive level, and its place in our history. Even if I do not like it. Such things intrigue me.

Why was a fat dude sitting in a chair lip syncing so insanely popular?

I have no idea.

The success of the media and its various parts are a good representation on the intelligence of a society.

Really makes you worry about humans as a ruling race.
