For all of you star wars fans (when I day fans, you must have gotten deeper into the univerise than the movies and games)
What is your
a)Favorite Book(s) from the Expanded series,
and
b)If yo could make a star wars game, what would it be, when would it be set, etc.

Hmmm, I haven't been into Star Wars much, but I loved the Boba Fett comics from Dark Horse they rocked. Best book series: X-Wing...altho after Wraith Squadron it wasn't so good, but ah well.

Funnily enough my ideal Star Wars game is KOTOR but, I'd make a game based around the X-Wing books, which would be very long, and include all the commando action

My idela game, however would be a well done SWG set in the New Republic time.

Dont have a favorite book, but as a game, I want to run around as a sith lord and kill people by waving my hands and staring at them, BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Wonder why they dont make one? Jedis this and jedis that, glorious heroics and running against 20,000 robots with a lightsaber, BAH! I want to take my squad of storm troopers and launch an assault on a rebell fortress, while having massive star destroyers backing me up in space. Board a rebel cruiser with my red light saber as only weapon and dispose of the puny rebels.
No damn "Behold! I am the only good person that can save the world, up up and away!!!!" while waving a hand in the air and having the other hand wrapped around a woman that always end up getting kidnapped or killed by the evil dudes.

(note: not force commander style, that evil side gaming have been done, I know, I mean a game in JK2 style)

I read a few of the books but it was awhile back and I can't remember what they were called.

As for a game, SWG was the game I was always wanting so I now it would be SW strategy game that would be of a much better design than Star wars Force Commander, same kind of idea that Star Wars Rebellion had only much more in depth.

I was unable to see the video for Repulic Commando... due to stupid Quicktime needing updating but yeh, I agree, sounded good .... the 'grey' side sounds promising was Force Commander any good, I left gaming before it came out

Force Commander ended up being the second worst game purchase of my gaming life.

star wars movies = fakeness, I hate it happy ending crap, like they would honestly build a floating death star superthing the size of a small moon and have it so it could be destroyed by one frickin little missile thru its tailpipe, grr! GRRR! and then the most recent movie is so lame its like oh boo hoo i can't hump a girl so i'll be evil and kill people, honestley what a retarded wuss he needs to grow up i'd like to rip his balls off with a meat poker for having the mind of a four year old... and is it just me or is everyone in the entire star-wars universe of below-average intellect? I mean like luke just had that dumb look on his face consistently and then that sith dude dresses up like a haloween character and paints himself as if that makes him cool, (did he paint himself? i dunno if he really looked like that becuz it sure looked like $4 face-paint) and the sword combat is also so played out and unrealistic, like their is so many open spots and they seem to swing for eachothers lightsabers rather then the person, grr, *hates starwars movies*.... ok i'm done now

Not a fan ey? Star wars is without a doubt the most brilliant movie idea ever. Its 30+ years old, and the original series STILL beat every modern space style movie created

You know what, for me, It's not really the movies. The first 3 were great, but The thing that really draws me in is the expanded series. I love those books and the univerise and everyhting. Now i'm playing KOTOR, and i'm learning all about the old republic, and that's great too.

Yeah, I found the films a little cheesy tbh... but I loved the richness of the worlds involved ... the same thing that drew me to warhammer

Anyway. The movies were supposed to be like fairy tales. You know the who "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away..."
However i do think the latest movies are pretty crumby so i wont argue there.
