I know there are a lot of other people here that have been playing Starcraft since 1998, like I have... and I know that many of you love it as much as I do.

Who plays, how often, and do you want to play sometime? I mostly play UMS evolves maps right now, but I'm down for FPM or zero clutter (I haven't played a normal resource game in years, other than big game hunters).

My bnet screenname is ennuified.

I lost my CD-Key and box 2 months ago. :(

I'm, Supa-Dupa
I play on east and west. STICKY THIS FORUM!

I haven't done a melee/tvb game in years either, anytime I do play I do a 2v2, take terran, and I usually am awesome at micro... and can micro my way to victory.

I love Diplomacy maps.

My favorite map of all time is, "Civilization Emerald". Combines the beacon system and interval of Diplomacies and Tech is done in a smart and unique fashion. The game forces takes like an hour and forty to tech up to the end. Games usually over by then. Awesome game, everyone should check it out.
Starcraft + Motivation from "Live To Win"(Paul Stanley) = awesome.

We should start a channel on West. Who's with me!

I also use to be pretty big in making maps for Starcraft. I new all the tricks in the book. I eventually went on to programming my own editor for Starcraft in C# and C++(I eventually stopped, but it was able to edit unit stats/strings/player info/triggers).

I got bored of Starcraft quite fast TBH *goes and plays Zero Hour*

Can I download it for free and easy.
PM me a link and I will.

You can download any game. Playing it online is a different story. Plus it's bound to be $9.95 now.

*Stabs Riomhaire*

*Slaps Geogaddi*

*Cuts Solaris*

I play mostly on east, Cole. Solaris, it's like ten dollars for a copy of Starcraft + Brood War, don't pirate it. riomhaire, I have no idea how you can prefer Generals over SC.

I want to play like koreans so I can earn 50,000 bucks as my salary playing SC there.

I'm shit at it. But I play often with a friend of mine, who tends to wipe me out.

Haven't played in ages. When I did, it was UMS games mostly. I've been hooked on DOTA in WC3 though.

Whats ur account? Come on east sometime.

Samon, we've been needing to play forever.

And no worries, I've never been that great of a player, even though I've had it since it was released.

I use to be awesome with Protoss, I mean awesome. Then I got into UMS and my skill kinda drained there. That was like 3/4 years ago though.

However my older brother, could take Zerg and dominate anybody with them(any non-korean, sorry). He'd rarely ever loose.

Hmm..wheres numbers?

I had a period where my friend and I played Starcraft for hours every night one summer, probably 2-4 hours a day, and at that point I was quite good with Zerg, but I lost most of my skill as I tend to play SC in intervals (play for a month obsessively, don't play for two months, play again, etc).

It's probably just because I never got into it. I got sick of Generals quite quickly the first time I played that too. Then when I got the First Decade I got into it and really started enjoying it.

I bought Generals and Zero Hour and played them for about a week before I decided there were much better games to spend my free time on.

Like Goatse: The Next Revolution
?

If I ever get my SC back up and running my account would be CyberPitz on East.

Generals sucked. I mean, I built up a huge freaking army and then someone dropped a freaking bomb on them and they ALL DIED. ARG.

Starcraft was the first PC game I ever played. I remember beggin my friend to use his computer to play star craft (I didnt have one) until he finally just gave me the CD and said, "fine, just take it."

I loved everything about it, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the music, it was just damn cool. I still have the terran theme song going through my head, (The pseudo 80's/90's rock ones).

It was such a lovely game.

Here's hoping Blizzard doesnt screw up starcraft2.

Ahhh yes, every time I hear that music while I'm playing, it's just like I was back when I first got the game. It's so weird how it activates that memory like that. Must have been one of the highlights of my childhood....sadly.

But yeah, my first PC game was Quake, so I wasn't too far behind :p

Man, I'm remembering the music, and while I think about it, I have those, "Childlike feelings" going through, like, "Oh man, I have to go to school!" shit like that. I used to sleep with a very loud fan back in the day, and right now it's a dark room, with my fan on max. It's going to be a rude awakening when I have to go to work instead of school tomorrow. :p

I agree about the music. It's an instant nostalgia trip for me. I almost cried with happiness when I found the soundtrack online.

Dammit, I'm addicted again.

I'm at home, supposed to be doing independent study work for two hours before I go back to school to get my last class done, but instead of researching I'm playing Starcraft.

I'm such a virgin to these classic video games :(

I even had a starcraft disk lying around (lost in other words) for years and years, I remember I played it a little bit years ago but never got into it. I just found it the other day and popped it in to see if it would work. Course it didn't work, disk is effed I think.

I'm playing through Deus ex invisible war for the first time, never played Deus ex original. I almost missed out on this game too!

I guess I'll just download starcraft and play it offline a bunch...

A few things. First, Starcraft and Brood War (the expansion) cost like $10 and are worth the buy. Online Starcraft is the whole point, offline gets boring and there are better things. The campaign has an awesome storyline but the levels are pretty tedious at times, and playing against the computer gets boring. The online community both will make you a better player and also you can play the thousands of user-created UMS maps. Secondly, Invisible War isn't a terrible game in it's own right, but the original Deus Ex is a thousand times better.

That's what you get for keeping your entire army together.

Starcraft is definately in my top 10 favs all time. Awesome replayability and mulitplayer rocks. It came out when I was in college and my buddies and I used to make custom single player maps for each other and then laugh the trpas we set. I can't get hi-speed where I am now so I'm reduced to single player, but the game is still awesome. As recently as a few months ago I played though it again. Man some of those last few levels are brutal. I think my favorite was building up huge forces and then decimating the competition. favorite human-nurse. favorite Zerg-lurker. favorite protoss- dark archon. I know the air ships are probably the "best" but these are my favorites.

Actually it runs pretty good on a 56k. As long as it's not AOL or something.

I mean, I have a computer that connects to the net downstairs via 56k. Then sends it to my room wirelessly. I don't lag in games :). For the most part, people will wait for ur dl's... especially small maps like evolves, cat n mouse, and etc..
