aye, same boat.. been getting the notorious "memory could not be "read" error
was going to reinstall just to see if that would work, and now Steam is too busy to give a paying customer his product.
my fault for not making a backup though..

Making people install Steam games over and over would be an excellent interrogation technique for any secret police hehe
Yeah... I would've been playing 5 minutes after release on release day but my HDD failed.
And I built the computer for the game. hah...
Oh yeah, and as Insane Said, try deleting your .blob file. My friend had the same problem and I remembered that trick from a few years back. It definately worked.
