Yay, awesome horror shooter... released for free with ads of course.
Filefront link.

The player controls Torque, a man who has been sent to the fictional Abbott State Penitentiary on Carnate Island, Maryland. Torque has been convicted and sentenced to death for murdering his wife and two children, although he claims to have blacked out at the time this happened and cannot remember anything. The night Torque arrives, there is a powerful earthquake, which releases an army of monsters upon the facility. Torque's cell door breaks and he is freed from his captivity. Starting with little more than a shiv, Torque traverses the prison in an attempt to escape Carnate Island alive.

It's an awesome, brutal game. You get to pretty much witness all methods of state sanctioned murder, namely, the death penalty.

I read that ads appear during gameplay

if thats the case them I am not going to bother
might try to fin the game on a store

well the graphics look like poop, but thats ok.

its just ads, no securom bs, right?

Sweet, never played it heard good things about it.

Hm, it came once with a gaming mag that I used to read, but I didn't bother to try it out and when I actually had the urge to do so, I couldn't find the damn DVD. So maybe this is my chance.

but how is the ads thing? does they pop up during gameplay and such?

game sucks balls, won't bother even if it's free.

Get the **** out of my office.

Also I wouldnt bother with this. They did the same thing with Psi-ops a while back "our game is free now! (BUT WITH ADS)." The way Psi-ops did this was just some ads during the start up menu nothing too annoying. The Suffering does not do this, instead for some reason someone decided it would be a great idea to have ads pop up every time you leave the view of a security camera or something else like that. Its like the game is all "You thought that was scary? WELL HOW ABOUT THE AIR FORCE"

So yeah the ads are pretty intrusive. They dont appear during fights or anything, but whenever you acess anything like a camera you can expect to see an ad right after you leave that view.

Oh, shame... they have to go and kill the immersion of a game like this. :|

Placing ads like that breaks the ****ing game. Security cameras were one of the best parts too.

Don't see why they could've just left it at the beginning like Psi-ops did.

Theres this one camera I remember in particular that when you viewed it, you saw an enemy creeping up behind you and its a real "HOLY **** MOMENT".

Except this time as soon as you leave the view its all "And now a word from our sponsors".

Mmm doesn't look that great from images and videos I looked at. Prove me wrong.

A fun & somewhat scary game.

Look beyond the dated graphics & you'll find yourself having fun.

Just whatever you do actually buy it and don't get the free version, unless you want your immersion totally destroyed D:

Was a fun game when I played it years ago. Maybe I'll try it out again.
