The Superportal kills my graphics card

Hi folks,

I'm playing Episode Two for the first time, and my computer is struggling with some graphics. Specifically, the framerate goes to near zero every time the superportal in the sky gets into my field of view. At other times, everything runs fine (Ep 1 and Lost Coast run fine too). Is there a fix? A way to turn off that graphic? I have a 2 GHz, 2 gig RAM machine, the graphics card is an Intel 965. Thanks for any help.

Probably your graphics card runs out of memory.
Since you have a shared memory graphics card, you can often increase the amount of memory it gets in your BIOS, try to do so.

Otherwise try lowering your settings, Texture Quality is the most memory intensive one. It might as well be something with the lightning, try disabling HDR.

If that doesn't work, update your graphics cards' drivers.
