the teams...

well,I have seen some 2-person teams while playing TF2,some were good, some bad,and some ugly, but I ask you for your opinion on each

the Heavy and Pyro team-while playing as a heavy,I ran into a pyro and heavy team, one came through a door, fired a bit,and went behind a wall, while the other came to fire a bit,if you've seen them, what do you think?

the Scout and Sniper team-I'm actually fond of this match(being that I'm often a sniper)While the Sniper scopes in for long range kills, the Scout watches is back

those were the two that I mainly saw and impressed me,so,whats you opinion on the TF2 character teams?

Medic+Medic can be awesome. Uber+bonesaw rush, switch, uber+bonesaw rush.

I've only seen it done successfully once though :(

Demo + Engie always works for me

Infact the Demo works with alot of classes

Or Engy-Engy-Engy-Engy-Engy-Engy :p

Fixed :naughty:

Me and some friends usually do Medic + HWG, or Pyro. In some cases the Pyro is useless, due to range limitations but in close quarters an uber Pyro is death incarnate.

Point in fact...last night on a Warpath server I managed to take down 2 dispensers, 1 sentry guns, 2 engineers, a medic, and lighting almost the entire red team on fire, in one fowl swoop. I nearly died laughing.

Pyro, Medic, and HWG BFF.

edit: LMAO @ The above picture. A leap frogging pair of engies is pretty effective too.

Select the 4th item in your inventory/weapons list and pick the sentry. You then have to spend 400 metal (ontop of the original cost of 130) to upgrade it to level 3, then you will have a sentry like the ones in Iron cubes picture ;)

I reckon scout+scout can be pretty effective on 2Fort across the battlements.

Spy+Spy disguised as heavy+medic is good combo:D

Not really... Medic w/o Ubercharge, holding a needlegun, following a Heavy that never fires his chaingun?

Medic + anyone (except scout): Well, let's state the obvious. The medic is always someone you want around, no matter what class you are. The benefit is clear. Obviously, though, the benefit is much greater when the medic is paired with an offensive class that requires medical assistance often due to constant fighting; soldiers, heavy weapons guys, pyros, demomen to a lesser extent.

Same-class teams (other than engineers): Generally, same-class teams don't work. It's not that they can't do their job, it's just that as a team, they don't balance each other. Typically in pubs it's more like two individuals after the same objective, but neither really backing up the other unless their targets overlap. They might stick together and fight side-by-side, but it's still more of a free-for-all thing.

Heavy + demoman: I mentioned this in the soldier thread. I absolutely love this team--or hate it--because of how devastating it is. Despite that I don't see it very often; once heavily on orange_x and sometimes at cp_lazytown. This is a team that works for both offense and defense, too, so it gets a lot of mileage.

Pyro + anyone (except spy): This is also an obvious one. Pairing up with a pyro ensures that you will be fighting disoriented, panicked opponents who are taking damage over time. Makes for easy kills, unless you are a spy, in which case all the running around makes it hard for you to get a backstab. It also makes no sense for you (as a spy) to walk around with a pyro, unless you're disguised as a different class on your own team. But really, what's the point of that in a team?

Spy+Spy disguised as heavy+medic is good combo:D

But then you cant pretend to heal.

The last time an enemy ran near to me, i jumped into my fellow spy, he saw that all was right so he left us alone. Soon later i was found out and ran away still disguised. My fellow spy got killed while i survived and got a few dispensers and sentries and stuff.
