The Terminal by Spielberg: complete utter wank!

no duh moron....it's based on his story!!!

LMAO. ;)

"THE TERMINAL, which began production in the fall of 2003, is proposed to be a smaller, more intimate picture for the legendary filmmaker. Based (very loosely) on the true story of Sir Alfred."

A2 how did you know that? it's not like it's said on the official website.

If they give credit I think it is ok...or I don't know what I am talking about which is probably true.

Yeah speaking about giving him credit here's something I found:

"While Bourguet confirms that Spielberg's company, DreamWorks, has in fact bought the rights to his client's life story, Spielberg himself would not discuss ''The Terminal,'' its plot nor Nasseri's contract. Marvin Levy, a DreamWorks spokesman, confirms that a financial agreement was signed. However, he cautions, ''Mr. Nasseri's story was an inspiration for the original treatment for 'The Terminal.' The film is not his story.''

Explain to me how this guy could sue Spielberg? I mean, even if he doesn't get credit.. I may be missing something, but how can you sue for someone making a film about your way of life? That'd be like me suing a director for making a movie about someone who lived in a house :|

I met a girl in an airport too. I'LL SUE HIM!!!!!!!!1
:upstare:

Oh, for the record, no one should ever cross Steven Speilberg while I'm around. EVER.

Hey AI was good. Okok, so Hook and JPII weren't exactly his best work.
But then you get the other stuff....no contest.

You know, when I was little I really enjoyed Hook. I watched it over and over. Don't mock my childhood memories! ;(

Nah, I loved Hook too, saw it in theatres in all. But I guess it's in a whole other ballpark in relation to his other films.

duuuuuuuuuuuude........hook was spielberg's best movie......i mean i love that movie, it's practically the only child hood movie that i ever affiliate with, **** disney movies, hook's the best movie in the world

Let's not forget about DUEL.... :E

Why does everyone go on about how good Martin Scorsese is? I've only seen Gangs Of New York and that movie sucked. Why does everyone praise him?

lol, erm.. does that have anything to do with the topic at hand? Just curious

Well he is another Director, but yeah it is pretty irrelevant to the topic

Well Shuzert and Javert, he could sue Spielberg for stealing his life-story. I mean you can't base a story on someone's life and then tell 'em to **** off.

But I just read in a interview that this guy has gone mad... he's lost it. Now he's really convinced he's british and that his real name is Sir Alfred. He's become completely mad.

Heh I read about the real guy living in an airport ages ago. I had no idea a film had been made of it.

I thought the guy was stuck in a British airport though. (haven't read the other links, just watched the trailer)s

Last I checked, you can't sue someone for making a movie about your life-story. That doesn't even really make any sense, seeing as how they're not filming him, or anything.

Actually I believe the real airport is in Paris. Open to correction though.
