As a gentleman, i must declare that was quite hilarious :E

at least one of the people in there was very, very seriously injured, and most probably a fair few more as well.

edit: i think one of them was even killed.
 
Umm... wtf. I was watching that, and I saw a clip I hoped I could forever put out of my mind. That one where the girl is sitting on the back of the truck, and it explodes.

That's like one of those faces of death things isn't it? Where the person actually dies? Because you can see how her torso is just complete disentegrated, and her head is gone. Ugh, I think i'm gonna be sick again.

I saw that thing years ago, and it haunted me for weeks, because it was the first time I ever saw somebody die.


Why the **** they have to put that in there? Or is it completely faked? Doesn't look like it.

It's real but she didn't die. It was for a British programme called 'Blue Peter' which is a kids show which is also 'cool' - or tries to be.

Is there a news article on it? I want to read it. That ****ing clipped haunted me for soooo long. I felt like puking for a week. Was back like three years ago. I thought she had died. Someone mailed it to me as a prank. If I could, i'd ****ing kill them for it.


I mean, that video. It looks like she has no head, is completely scarred/scorched up, and no arms either from all the explosives. Thats what it looks like :-(

its probably because she curled and buried her head because of the pain.
 
Yeah...old as dirt. You kinda stop wanting to watch this though after the 2nd time. But I remember it was hillarious as hell first time I saw it!

Also, upon further inspection of the ladie in the truck, she just ducks her head forwards cause her hair catches on fire.

Or at least her head and neck did ;P
 
Quite old, but i never thought it was very funny. The part at the end though....."ow ow ow ow!" that made me laugh :P

Its Anthea Turner, and she survived.

Basically, they'd been rehearsing all day long. The producer then had to leave before the TX (the accident was live) for personal reasons, and his assistant took over. The practiced routine (and signal for the guy in the truck to trigger the fireworks) was then ignored for various reasons, and the assistant gave a 'cue' to the presenter, which happened to be the same visual cue that the fireworks guy was expecting. She was supposed to walk off the truck before the fireworks were triggered, but never got the chance.

The presenter sued the channel and all involved, and won. Rather large and hefty fines were handed out by the H&SE.
 
Well its good she didn't die. It was sent to me and I thought she died. Thanks everybody.

And yeah, I'm a pussy when it comes to seeing death. <shrugs> I'm not one of those types that can stomach visiting ogrish or rotten.
 
I'll always laugh when I see the poor chap door check a biker to get bumper checked himself.
