Think about it... there are hundreds of source mods going to be released soon, and in a month or so, the first batch of singleplayer mods are gonna go.. then the next lot of multiplayer mods... then the SP/MP mods... there will literally be an o rgasm of mod in a month or so... but are YOU prepared?

Im seriously considering buying an external harddrive simply for Half life 2, CS:S, mods, editing tools.. already Im loosing about 2 an half gigs just on steam games themselves. and with all the mods.. where am I gonna fit them? I need my PC for working too!

mainly Im rellying on mods being eaten by one another in survival of the fittest... the smaller mods will be pushed into the history books and only the strong will remain.. which is a bit sad really... think of all the cool mods youl never ba ble to play online...

well Ive rambled alot.. probably gone off topic and I think this thread is now completely pointless. ooh... but while im wasting space.. this smilie IS me :bonce: !

u really look like that? cooooool...

i don't think the smaller mods will all together disappear... ur forgetting the 56k-ers, who can't (easily) download 300mb mods. and those poor people on DODO broadband, with their MASSIVE 300mb limit :D and anyway, a mod likle Garry's Mod (love the name :D) isn't going to be forgotten soon

I don't have much of a problem with space... i have a 40gig windows partition, and still 20 gig free. i don't think space will become much of an issue for anyone these days, as they all seem to have 100+ gig drives :D

External HDD's... Do they connect using a IDE cable or somthing, because if not then you may bad performance while playing Half-Life through the HDD. You should invest your money in a larger internal HDD.

I also cant wait for all the mods, but yes, it is sad to see the smaller ones go, hopfully they dont give up though.

meh = having internal 80 Gig harddrive and external 40 gigs

360gb total here :) 200gb for downloads and 160gb for windows+programs+games :) Should be enough :naughty:

pffft, only 3 gb for steam?

I have like 10 :p

btw, just got a new 120gb so I think I'm ready :D

i dont use much space
i have an 80 gig primary drive then an extra 40 gig that i have shared on my network..

I hope my 240Gb will be enough :p
