The WORST map

What is the worst tf2 map?

I'm not sure how you can have a "worst TF2 map" thread without including all the options, or at least an other catagory. Anyway I voted granary.

To me the best original maps are Dustbowl, Gravelpit and Badlands. They all have a feeling of something new to them. My least favourite is 2fort, I've played it to death. It was good in the origonal days of team fortress, but it feels too slow now. Granary and Well come a close 2nd and 3rd. Ironically for someone who loves Dustbowl, they feel too linear.

Of that list, Badlands. Out of all the maps, Hydro. By far.
 
Granary, unless you are playing on a Commodore 64 man server is too big. It takes up to a minute to get to the fight, and while it does reward staying alive (and medics), it gets quite tedious after a while, especially if your team has retardineers instead of engineers.

Definitely the best map presently are the Badlands, as it is essentially symmetrical, allows for a multitude of attack options and tactics and is generally a true test of players' skill.
 
Based on the poll you gave, I'd go with Granary, but of all the maps I'd say I hate both versions of Well.

edit: I can't really give an opinion on Badlands, as I've played it only two times.

Yeh, why is there 3 maps, last time I checked there was 7 official maps (8 including CTF_well) and why those three?

Also, I have no 'WORST' map, I enjoy playing all maps, they all have something significantly different about them, which makes each one special.
 
In a proper poll, 2fort or Granary. In this poll Badlands, even though I enjoy it Dustbowl and Gravelpit are my bread and butter while playing TF2.
 
Granary is actually superb in 6 vs. 6 - it's with big teams that the game locks down into chaos. This is pretty much the case for TF2 in general though - accept for 2Fort, that's always a stalemate.
 
WTF, add more options. Hydro is the worst. Of that list I'm SICK of Dustbowl just because it's on every damn server I go to (but is still a good map), and granary is a bit bland sometimes, but I don't especially dislike any of them. SO I WON'T PARTICIPATE BY VOTING IN UR FLAWED SYSTEM
 
Im sorry i ment out of theese three cuz i was talking to some friends and they nominated theese three for the worst map...

hydro if normal sudden death is on, if it's off or melee only SD then hydro kick ass too.

How can you hate dustbowl? And I mean hate? It's a classic Team Fortress map, what is to hate? I'm so disgusted by this comment I refuse to vote or add any other views.
 
I don't like badlands. Granary (as someone said earlier) is actually great without a lot of players.

I'm in love with gravelpit.

Where's the option for Hydro?

Out of the 3 very limited options, I'll have to pick Granary, as it isn't a classic. Saying that however it's still fun to play.

I enjoy games on 16 player servers far more than 24 or 32. Just too much going on and random stuff happening with too many players. Same goes for other games like CS or CoD4.

Face it, there is no 'WORST' map, all the maps are different, yes some might happen to piss you off at times, but you have to admit, all official maps are fun at some point or another...
 
I voted Badlands, but that's just because I don't much care for it. I'm getting tired of playing 2Fort, Dustbowl, and Gravel Pit, for reasons mentioned above: they're great maps, but they're very often the only populated servers. I'll jump on a populated Hydro map any chance I get now, and Granary or Well... these are rare treats.
 
2fort. It's like they built a good map and then shrunk it. It's just way too small.

Agreed. I can't find a good game of ctf_well for love nor money despite it being a relatively new map. It kind of feels like it shouldn't be this way for a game that's meant to be in its prime...
 
there's a map I'm really bored with called Castle3, when that one comes up I jump into Spectator and have a long smoke break.
 
I play 80% Badlands. I love it.

hydro is the worst map hands down.
 
Damn! I wish they would update the 360 version with new maps. They still have the original ones.
 
Your opinion doesn't count sorry, you proved that with your nominations for best and worst maps.

Chin up, you may develop taste some day... ;)
