REAL-LIFE BATMAN FIGHTING BAD GUYS IN NEW YORK

Holy nutcase! Man patrols streets in bodysuit, mask -- and a cape!

An obsessed crimefighter is roaming the streets of New York City at night beating up burglars, muggers and drug dealers -- while wearing a costume just like the movie superhero Batman!

"This fellow is a one-man vigilante team," a police insider said. "Last week he broke into a crack house and beat the hell out of a couple of well-known drug dealers.

"We have a dozen witnesses who have seen the fellow in the last two weeks and they all say the same thing: The guy's a bodybuilder, he's dressed up in a black outfit with a cape and wears a mask just like Batman wore in the movies."

The mysterious figure's most highly publicized act of heroism came last week when he broke up an armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant, knocking out two would-be robbers in the process. "When our officers arrived on the scene one of the thieves was unconscious and the other was so groggy that he didn't know where he was," the police source said. "This Batman fellow had worked them over pretty good."

Officials are unsure how to deal with the crimefighter, who has gained a devoted cult following in some New York neighborhoods. "Our problem is that this guy is breaking the law, but if we throw him in jail we'll look like the bad guys," the anonymous policeman said.

"But we can't allow him to go around making his own laws. And the fact that he wears a superhero costume shows that he is probably mentally unstable."

Police psychologists say the real-life Batman fits the profile of an angry crime victim who is fighting back.

"You see this a lot when someone has been victimized. But this guy is obviously obsessed in a twisted, almost frightening kind of way. It appears he truly believes he is Batman."

Witnesses say the Batman is highly skilled in the martial arts and has no trouble overpowering the criminals he attacks. "One couple said they were being mugged when the Batman jumped out from behind a tree, kicked the gun from the mugger's hand, put him into a headlock and rammed him into a tree."

"But in that case, as always, by the time the police got there the Batman was gone."

No pictures make SixThree a dull boy..

I knew he was real!! What doa mean its all made up?

haha ace. Sounds like he's doing the Police's job for them, I think they should just let him get on with it. Anyway, It's not as if any of the public are going to report him to the police for kicking bad guys' arses.

Of course if he gets shot or something that wouldn't be too good.

LOL

I bet when he punches people 'wham', 'biff' and 'pow' appear out of nowhere

LMAO, they think he may be "mentally unstable" lol

hey look... i have 1,800 posts... when did that happen?

His bottom half blends in perfectly with the cape :P

Im kinda suspicious about this one...ill wait until i see a link on CNN or something like that before i believe it. But if it is real: Awesome! :smoking:

LOL our dreams have finally come true. A true action-hero!!
I have dreamt about this for as long as I can remember...

Why is everything a mental issue now? How do they know that this man isn't just living a childhood dream to defend people and fight against crime as a real super hero? Sure, everyone praises them in comics and everything, but now that someone shows up that has the traits of a true "super hero", it gets justified as a mental problem. I'm glad to see that someone has actually taken it upon themself to single handedly make a stand against crime. So what if he's breaking the law. Sometimes it's better to go against the rules if it means making things safer for everyone. From what I read, his methods are non-lethal and effective. I hope he continues to fight, because it's good to know that someone out there is sacrificing himself to make New York a safer place.

that's great! I highly doubt he "really" beleives he's Batman... He's just kicking-ass wearing a batman costume.. boy that must feel good when he sees his stuff on the news

fight on!

NO...F*CKING...WAY.

That's cool.

EDIT: Just saw it was from Weekly World News. Nevermind. Lame!

if this is true, how does he always find crime? and if its from listening to the police radio, wouldn't it be likely the cops would make it there first? or at least arrive while he was in the middle of an ass-kicking?

i have a confession to make...

I AM SPIDERMAN!!!

at least i want to be...

This makes me wonder, why did batman never franchise? It would make sense really, because its not like he has any special powers or anything, other than a deep burning hatred for what appears to be everything.

Well he could only stop crime because he had all those cool gadgets that no one can build anyway and the ones we can are too expensive for the franchise to be profitable.

He is amazingly rich though, and perhaps if he employed only a a few Batmen, one for each major city. If he wanted, he could sell "genuine" batman equipment, that was really just the crappy plastic toys you can buy now.

And because he had a bullet proof vest that didn't hurt when you got shot...plus no one aimed for the head....
The Punisher would be a more realistic super-hero to copy
