Theory on Unlocks

I have a suspicion that in a future BF2 patch we will see more unlocks become available. I believe this due to the fact that on the BFHQ page, by the unlock for your selected kit, the right hand arrow is highlighted, as evidenced HERE

They will be able to do this, because with the new rank Second Lieutenant you would expect even more Commisioned ranks to be available soon, and as such, they will give more unlocks for the different kits.

They made it easier for you to get unlocks and rank up and badges becasue the expansion is nearing and they want everyone to start playing bf2 again, realizing how fun (and addicting) it is to get new badges and ranks and unlocks.. you will buy the expansion and try and get THOSE new unlocks/ranks/badges

Very good strategy by EA/Dice but literally, they cant fool me though.. and never will, i will figure out their strategy right away (i love cracking strategys)

the expansion really should be treated as a completely different game not new levels and weapons
besides they will add more content - almost half the maps that were finished for the teaser videos were not included

As much as I'd love for this to be true...Dice is coupled with EA and I highly doubt they're actually going to offer more content for no extra money. I always wanted like 3 unlocks per class. First chance of unlocking you get your choice between 2, then after that you can unlock a 3rd even better weapon for the class (for those players out there that like to specialize in one class).

i think the l85a1 sucks. The special forces gun is the shizzle though.

Its interesting that many dont like the L85A1, but there are a small number that absolutely love it (including me). Once you learn to use it effectively, it is a killing machine. I have taken out a squad of 5 on top of the Kubra Dam running straight at me. I guess part of it is having the medic packs in the kit- being able to heal means you can take anyone on long and medium range.
On fully automatic, at close range, you'll come off best against a g36c too.

On fully automatic, at close range, you'll come off best against a g36c too.

There are times when i love it and times when and hate it. I can't understand why sometimes it misses the target when I'm firing single shots every 0.5 second. Every bullet should hit then, as with other guns, but not with the l85a1. :|

Yeah, the ak101 is awesome- think its the only way im gonna get 40 kills in a round (for expert medic) now that im over 100 hours with medic.

You could always get on a near-empty server and fly/tank your way to 40 kills I guess. 40 kills is a LOT to get though.

I know- it means getting a 100 plus score, unless i am whoring it in a bomber, which im not that good at. I have come close- 35ish, mainly in an apc though. The only times ive got around that on foot is with help from the nade launcher or C4 jumping/throwing/detonating.

Btw: have you guys tried that? Jump to throw the C4, and quickly switch between right click, left click to blow it very quickly. There's an element of timing to it tho, and its easy to hurt/ kill yourself. But get it right, and its devastating- seriously, nothing else on foot can match it, not to mention if you come across a group of enemies, then its see ya later. Great fun, even if you take yourself out hehe

40 kills is a lot when you play on 16-32 player servers where rounds only have like 200 tickets or less

Man, you've played a ton more than me. I only have a couple veteran badges and my pistol/knife expert badges.

Well of course you get more defib kills than I..I use mine like they are supposed to That and every time I"m point blank and I try to defib them...it doesn't work...thus I gave up

It's so much fun to get behind enemy lines, run with them like you're one of them, then shock them all to death while they lie doewn!

There needs to be some sort of Defib badge, so I can share my skills and kills with the world.

I knife people when I get close, defibs are unreliable and I'm not always medic anyways - as for the GL...I never touch it. I hate grenade launchers. It's like me and the AWP or rocket launcher and sword in Halo 2. I think they're bad weapons and I refuse to use them
