there are times we just forget how good we have it

Stuff like this makes me feel like such a bad humanbeing.

I was in Kenya six years ago, and you saw these kids everywhere in the cities. And Kenya isn't even among the poorest countries in Africa.

That part about the theory of HIV-infected condoms is startling, could be helping to spread the disease.

I was in Kenya three years ago and I loved it.

I've never been to Kenya and I couldn't give a shit.

I can't believe the husband organized and headed a mob to beat his wife because she wanted him to use a condom.

I'm having a hard time with this. I feel for the kids, but of all epidemics that they could be dealing with, HIV is so relatively easy to prevent. A little knowledge and awareness could really put a dent in it. If it was something airborne, for example, this would make more sense. It's like HIV is becoming ingrained in their culture.

These kind of things are something you have to experience rather than watch on TV. The media just shows kids crying, thin etc. Its insulting to the problem.

You have to go to these countries, drive around and see what is happening. You WILL come back a different person, certainly changed my life.

Poor kids burned alive :(

That video makes me real sad, and hope some day we can be beyond all this... that the developed world can help the undeveloped and developing worlds and so we all attain higher quality of life.

But that will never happen, at least not in my lifetime.
