Saw the adverts for it. From what I can gather, they get loads of blokes to try and win her affections, but find out what they do at the end when it's revealed that she was actually born a man. Might watch it sometime, heh.

I was watching it yesterday and mirriam was on about the fact that she/he had been taking hormones from the age of 11 so she'd been looked on as a female since then, and as such had never had a beard / adams apple. still disturbing tho.

I dunno, I have to say that she (I'm calling Miriam a she because she is supposed to be, and also because I am assuming that she will one day have the op) is quite attractive in a slightly overly made-up way. Don't call me "teh gayz0rz" or some such crap because that's just immature.
Incidentally, a friend of my family's went through something similar. He, after splitting up (on good terms I believe - they also had grown up children) with his wife, had the operation and is now she. She has had boyfriends since and saw a future with one guy and told him that she was born a guy. He reacted extremely well and (as far as I know) they are still together - it most certainly didn't split them up, although I'm sure it was one hell of a head-f*ck.
So it doesn't really matter, but what this program is doing is publicly exposing people's prejudices - that is to say, the guys who think she's hot and then bail when they find out she's a man. If these people have these views then, whilst I personally disagree with them, humiliating them on national TV isn't fair.

nah, the only thing she's had done is a tit job. in the 1st episode they had a doctor confirm she's still for all intensive purposes a man with a tit job.
