They teased info in late 2008 and no info on E3!!!

The Half-Life trilogy is much more popular then L4D. But I got a feeling that they will show Ep3 this year, release will be early 2010. Doug said: "stay tuned for more" maybe that meens that info about the game will sooner then you think come out

i not so sure half life is more popular than left 4 dead either to be honest, left 4 dead attracted many new customers who never heard of valve or half life before on the 360 and he right u will just disapoint urself. We are all disapointed but i reckon epi3 been dropped for a full game, tbh with all the time wasted on episodes we coulda just had full game hl3 by now as its been 5 yrs since hl2 game release

Why do people get so upset and worked up about people whining on threads? They are just words people typed... and best part about it if you don't want to read them, you don't need to look at the thread. Thats the beauty of forums.
However, I am quite disappointed about no ep3. But I am betting that they are thinking the old engine... just wont cut it anymore. My theory? New graphics. But who knows what will happen. Maybe we will see a preview of it on L4D2

Because no one wants a forum full of nothing but whining. Yeah I know I'm in the Half-Life section so it is kind of expected.

The engine overall needs to be optimized for longer view distances, but for that to be useful, you would also need new tools that allow you to make outdoor scenarios faster and more natural. Since EP3 was announced I always wondered whether or not Valve would introduce a heightmaps tool to create the massive vistas seen in other games; maybe it would be possible to import the Hammer maps into the Heightmaps tool so you could have accesable buildings in a large environment.
