Things you've done in BF:V

It was hard as hell since I've only had BF:V for a few days, but I managed to land the Chinook in the middle of a bridge. It took me about five tries to get it right. I managed to do this without blowing up either...

I still have some 'getting used to' with the helicopters....

Try to do some clean and precise airlifts. Try to do it quickly and without damaging either vehicles. I've found that the best way to perfect your helicopter skill. Flying helicopters can be hard sometimes and I'm no master at it, but I'll bet that within a few days you'll be able to do that your first try easily.

whew if you think bfv helicoptors are hard, try desert combat. ouch. once i shot down a chinook with 6 people in it with 3 rpgs. was pretty proud of yself.

Yeah, having all but mastered the DC choppers the BF:V ones were easy. My advice is be aware of the dimensions of your craft, use 1st person view with no cockpit and switch to 3rd for landings, and try practicing just landing and hovering on empty maps. Also, loud music helps. Remember that your chopper will hover automatically if you let it, and just for practice (don't do this in combat drops) hover for at least 30 seconds in one place before landing. Mainly it's practice. Man I love those choppers, especially flying under bridges and sweeping so low I can squash errant VC before hovering while a load of bots embark. Gotta love it.

me too. waiting for a patch to fix a few things.

DC choppers are very hard to master, but infinitely more powerful. i guess they changed it in BFV to make them more accessible.

I found DC choppers very easy to use effectively. I love just hugging the ground cruising around maps. It's always fun to do barrel rolls to dodge RPG's I'm not as good with the Blackhawk as I am with the other helos..but I can do pickups and dropoffs just fine. I usually don't bother landing to pick people up, I just hover above the ground like 5 feet or so.

I'm looking forward to Conflict in Somalia. The old beta version had some tough choppers to fly because they used a throttle system and you couldn't see the power setting you had it at. That has apparently changed and they're saying the chopper physics are really good.
