my current computer (of 5 years) is starting to get screwy on me so I've decided to start off fresh on a new machine. I plan to do some serious overclocking

WARNING WARNING! *Dangerous Anomaly Detected* WARNING WARNING!

Never buy a cheap PSU. It convers the wall power to DC for your computer. If it is a poor choice then you risk your entire setup. May lead to random restarts, crashes, blue screens of death...shorting out your other hardware etc.

Spend some money on a good brand name model. I generally spend about $80. Sparkle, Seasonic, Antec, Enermax, OCZ...
Everything else looked good. Although I admit I didn't pay too much attention to some of the other parts...something was distracting.

Don't forget an Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with surge protection.

haven't decided on one yet but im thinking of getting a cheap dx9 card until dx10 comes out. Just something good enough to run source.

never skimp on a PSU.....bad thing to do.
If your going to wait until dx10 cards, perhaps a cheap 6800gt or 7600gt would hold you over well until then

Got an Antec TruePower 480W and it's damn great, never had any problems with it :D
If you're into saving cash for a DX10 card you should consider X1900GT as it will last pretty long and it's even better than 7900GT :>
