It was around 2:00AM last night, or this morning, and I was flicking through the channels to find something good before I dozed off. I came to channel 48, which is HBO. It caught my eye and had me reeled in the minute I turned it on. I think I missed the beginning, but I watched it to the end.

Thirteen is a very sad movie, based upon a girl's troubles with life-sex, drugs, cutting, piercings, broken home, etc. I, personally, loved it. The superb acting is what made it so believable and certain moments could be compared to my own.

It reminded me of Monster. I enjoyed the realism and grittiness of it all. As I mention again, very good acting by all. So, if you ever get a chance to see this movie, do so right away.

/me buys Thirteen to watch the movie in its entirety

I've seen it being shown on TV for the past couple of days, but I always catch it when its half-way through or near the end. =/

pretty crazy movie, 13 year old girls shouldnt be doing anything like that, it's just superbly wrong. rainbow party with 13 year old girls...VERY VERY WRONG. If I had a 13 year old daughter like them she'd be /dead lol, very good movie though.

Sarah Clarke (Nina Myers from 24) is in this movie. She is my favourite actress... :naughty:

The scene at the end was so beautifully done by the girls acting, she deserves an oscar.

I don't think that was a very realistic movie. If that's what's 'normal' for 13 year old girls, then society is more screwed up than I thought. They should put something in like '1 out of 1000 girls are like this.'

Well obviously not every girl was/is like that when they were 13. I had a friend who did a lot of this stuff before she was even 13.

I never seen the movie, but I didn't like what I saw in the promotion. It looekd like it was way overdoen, almost like an Bruckheimer/bay prodcution. Damn I even expect a marine in the movie eho is gonna sum some things up in a very geberic Bruckheimer way.
But then again I may be wrong.
