Derek Smart is like Peter Molyneux except he actually implements what he says he will, even if it ends up being half-baked, and for that I respect the guy. With that said, I haven't really enjoyed his games (not that he cares).

All I could hear was him spouting shit to make him sound like a man for the "hardcore" PC people. Stating what people like that want to hear without any substantial evidence behind it except for "I've been behind hardcore games for years". Sure, I'm on his side on most of those topics but god damn if he didn't kiss ass like it was going out of fashion.

I did appreciate his transparency when it comes to the subject of money though.

I think his point was he care about gameplay first, and that consoles have gimmicky gameplay. I'm sure story and atmosphere are something he'd be fine with as long as the gameplay was good.

Anyways, I one day hope to be the Derek Smart of good games.
