Well Rowin is a rich ****. I'm pinching pennies just to buy a pair of drumsticks every week and a half.

Drumsticks? I'd be afraid I would break my drumheads. Though I do use evans. Only have to replace them every 5 months. Love em.

The cymbals, though, are ZBT. meant for Jazz, not Metal. If I had Z customs I wouldn't have to replace them for 5 years, only problem is that they're $300 a piece, so I got the ZBT's cause they're cheap, and Zildjian let me get them replaced for free for 2 years. Now I'm shit outta luck.
 
I got a stupid deal on my cymbals, all for $300, Zildjan's.

As for the sticks - Yea, I haven't even replaced the heads, these things are literally indestructible, I don't even think you could bend 'em.

Hmm... I'll have to look into that. Do you hit flat-edged or with the tip? That's my main concern, cause I hit flat-edged.
 
Not quite up to terms with drummer lingo, so I'm not really sure what flat edged means (I'm a guitar player, I mostly just **** around on drums, but I think I'm decent for not majoring on them).
 
Flat edged is where you take the edge of the stick and rest it on the rim to hit, making the tip, and the part below it, rest straight on the head, instead of hitting it with the tip.
 
Ok, I just hit it, as long at it makes the sound I want, I don't really pay attention. So I'd guess tip.
 
Well, really it depends on how your drums are facing. Are they facing up, at you, or lower?
 
Actually, they are facing above my head about a foot.

I meant the top of the drums would be facing down. I'm guessing you hit your snare flat-edged.

EDIT: You might want to think about turning the drums around so that you're sitting in the corner. That way it looks nicer. :l

yeah i agree...i really hope Van_Halen doesn't have a hair like that. it's really gay and stupid.
 
Ok so I found a ride today for $30, brand new, been played with once, tag still on it - $200

So now all my cymbals are worth about $500 altogether (probably more, all Sabian, and damn decent), all used, but only played like 10 times total (seriously), and I payed a total of about $150.

You my good sir, need to learn to haggle like you're ol' pal Dog--.

All so shiny, looks like they were made just yesterday.

EDIT: 20" btw.
 
Where the hell did you find it for $30? A sabian? What off-brand? Vault?
