Artist Zeger Reyers built a kitchen in a revolving cubicle:

Filmed from a better angle

The dude is probably being critical of consumption habits in the western world yada yada yada but to me it is just a waste of good food and kitchen equipment. To add insult to injury Mr. Reyers is a fellow Dutchman, so I feel in part responsible for this tomfoolery. We used to spawn artists like Rembrandt ffs!

Reminds me of an exhibit someone tried to set up a few years ago where they were goingf to run water/ drip it froma faucet or something for several weeks, to raise awareness for wasting water.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go **** some strangers to raise rape awareness.

You're silly, Shaker. That's not really very much food wasted relatively speaking, or perhaps none at all - because where's the 'waste' exactly? It still got grown, bought and produced for the artist to be able to buy it. In any case one of the first things art should do is make you step back and go "whoah" - have an impact on you. This installation does that and I like it a lot.

What I don't like about installations in general is that the art part is lost on me. Imo activists would be a better word to describe the people who make them, than artists. I don't mind morality in my art -heck, it is very important element of art through the ages- but I like it a bit more subtle, I guess.

Perhaps, but I think in that case the distinction is merely a conventional one.

My definition of art is quite traditional, so that might explain my stance. I like to see proper artistry, not just the provoking of an emotion or the conveying of a message.

Really? What kind of impact? It just seems like a waste of space to me.

Only two related videos, I've never seen that before.

well a pile of garbage was actually submitted as art.

That was pretty cool. I wouldve stopped watchin sooner, but I went through the whole video to find out when the light fixture broke.

Was hoping it would shatter...

I got too bored watching it, it's just a tiny rotating kitchen.

I could cause more damage to that kitchen in 2 minutes.

I've always been a fan of flipped/tilting rooms. That is the only reason I liked it.

would been better if the woman where inside when the whole thing was fliping
