Okay, so if I want to make a map and I have created some models... lets say... a trash can with some bowling balls in it....

first of all, would these be models, or map entities? and how are physics applied to them? You can't just make a model and expect the computer to calculate proper physics... you need to define the weight and it's friction properties (physics class impared... sorry)

So what's the deal with all this?

Since you can't mod for Source/HL2 yet. Then it doesn't really matter. And we can't/wont help you with mapping for the stolen files. Assuming your asking regarding that.

What? No no, my friend. I've never touched the beta in my life. I think playing the beta is a slap in the face to Valve. It's like ruining a big surprise that they've been planning for all these years. I'm honestly just asking because I wanna know if we know how to do that yet. Sorry if it looked like I was talking about beta stuff.

if its anything like other editors you will just set it dynamic and enable physics (whatever the hammer equivalent will be). But you need hammer for hl2 to do that....

on i side note, i've never been able to figure hammer out anyway. I prefer maxed, because it works more like a 3d modeling program.
